DePaul just landed a transfer.....Miami's Donovan Kirk has left and will transfer to DePaul...
Surely that must be good, right??? DePaul needs all the help they can get. BUT here's where the whole thing backfires...
DePaul's top incoming prospect for next fall, Braeden Anderson -- as soon as he hears DePaul landed Kirk (a similar player) then Anderson renegs and asks out of his LOI -- ha, ha....what a gas....
It obviously does NOT pay to be Transfer U as ISU is now learning as well......

Hmm...I don't know about most Hoosier fans, but this seems a little of an insult to any fan who wants an answer how Indiana can still be so very bad after 3 years under Tom Crean and several consecutive Top 10 recruiting classes.
Crean seems to be telling the fans that only he is capable of seeing this in the proper context and being able "to think".



Even more NCAA HYPOCRISY!!! So they want to get serious about cheating?? Yet another BCS team gets caught...this time Texas Tech caught with over 1000 impermissible phone calls and text messages, and the NCAA gives them...
NOTHING...yes, absolutely nothing at all....the simply go along with the already mild self-imposed minimal restrictions...

There used to be a hot debate as to whether New York or Chicago had the best talent -- now it's not even a contest...here are some clips...

but in honor of the 500th entry I will give my all time Heroes and A**h**** awards...

You may agree or disagree, but here are my choices...

Heroes:

- Anyone who battles a guy that's killing children with an automatic weapon and trying to reload to kill more people. I consider those who rushed Jared Loughner and subdued him (and others who perform like heroism) as heroes.

- Anyone who gives substantial time to underprivileged children or who opens their home to those less fortunate.

- Those who love this country and serve to protect it both here and overseas.

- Those who give their time and MONEY to help others that have less or who give to good causes that benefit those who need it most.

- Those who display honesty all the time even when it is NOT to their advantage.

- Those who remain loyal even in tough times...and that extends all the way down to being loyal to your team.



Now here are my selections for all time A** h*****:

- People who kill or injure children.

- People who assault or kill for their own pleasure and convenience. We read about it every day in the news.

- People who think only of themselves and what they want and what pleases them.

- People who lie to fit their fancy or to profit themselves.

- Cowards who are brave only when they are pointing a gun at children or innocent, unarmed people.

- People who teach or indoctrinate their children or others in hate.

Speaking of really bad predictions (see yesterday's blog)...here's just one more that I fell compelled to cite....

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr....in an effort to jump on the global warming bandwagon, even though he has about as much climate expertise as a snail...
wrote an editorial that appeared in the The Los Angeles Times on Sept. 24, 2008....
It said this.....

..that numerous weird weather events were the sure result of massive global warming and that Washington, DC "may never see snow again"

This actually wasn't even Kennedy's original idea, as an editorial in Boston just a little earlier also said "our children may never see snow in their lifetime"...

and the crooked Climategate guys in Great Britain whose corruption and fraud was exposed when their e mails were made public..had also said that British children may never seen snow again...

And other liberal senators have used that very phrase on the floor of the Senate claiming children in Washington, DC will never know what snow looks like!!

Well.......the past three consecutive winters have been record-setters in all those areas that those predictions were made.

Washington, DC and the entire east coast have been hammered with record-setting snowstorms each of the past two winters, and this one's not near over year!
So now those predictions of not knowing what snow looks like seem pretty silly and those dishonest warmers are trying to pretend they never said those things...so someone need to remind us all that they DID make those claims -- and they even claimed their science proved it and backed it up!!

Well...all I can say is that if I had made so many wide ranging predictions and been wrong about every one of them...then I would fully expect I'd be completely discredited, and of course I'd shut up and admit I was wrong...

BUT -- here's what the global warmers do instead...

They just claim that all this incredibly severe cold and record setting frigid climate and snowfall is all caused by....
yup -- you guessed it -- caused by global warming!!!!

What a laugh just reading these guys' insanity! Thankfully nobody really takes them seriously any more.
But -- when will they give it up...it is NOT getting warmer -- in fact the evidence now shows it has NOT been getting warmer since the mid-1990's and in fact it's getting colder...

Anyone who says otherwise is clinging to false, fraudulent, and discredited data...and they are wacko -- or they are just being dishonest for their own personal or financial gain.
