Huggins, TC, Bruce Pearl, Jimmer, and lots of other fun topics...plus a medical alert at the end of this entry...

More tough news for BU fans in that Taylor Brown is not at all likely to be back before this season ends....just more to bum you out....but I am still pulling for our guys to come on strong!!
Go Braves!!!

By the way -- after West Virginia's Bob Huggins was in Peoria to watch Jeff "Keke" White at Manual, he headed down to watch Stan Simpson...who is also getting looks from other big schools. Amazing what a year at junior college will do...although UCLA isn't doing much with the John Logan kid...

Here's more on Stan Simpson and all the schools including DePaul who are after him...
personally I am not convinced he's going to help at the BCS level --- we've seen this act before...
http://is.gd/01v9li

Here's a pretty embarrassing video of IU fans and Tom Crean (about a minute into it) acting like they just won the World Cup, hooting and hollering, screaming, jumping, and all they did was barley squeaky by and win a conference game against a team that's a middle-of-the-pack opponent.
http://is.gd/XJozVf

Of all the trash we hear talked in this IU/U of I battle...the all time record is pretty close...with last night's win, Indiana now takes an 83-82 lead!! You'd have thunk Indiana had a 10 to 1 advantage the way their fans talk trash!

There's some talk that IU's Verdell Jones may be out for season with knee injury...
http://is.gd/D0wMV3

As if Bruce Pearl also didn't need more bad news....
his top recruit for next year, 4-star Chris Jones kicked out of school..probably won't be playing any more basketball this season!
http://is.gd/SQcgLr
http://is.gd/y8xFzw

Plus, 4-Star Marquette transfer Jeronne Maymon is apparently now benched over some issues at Tennessee. How Pearl hangs on as coach is a puzzle.

Looks like Arkansas head coach John Pelphrey went off on a rant in his press conference leaving reporters stumped as to what that was all about....
http://is.gd/Zr88HA

Some even go so far as to say Pelphrey should have no "next year"...
http://is.gd/gbpyOW

Here's a supposed 75-footer in a high school game this past week in St. Louis...
but do the math yourself and since it comes from above the FT line -- it's really about 68 feet.
http://is.gd/NCSSKH

I am glad Taco Bell is fighting back!

Jimmer for President!!! (but psst...check the title, it's "World" not "Word")
http://is.gd/COAm3x

FIU (Isiah Thomas' team) played last night and lost 81-78 to Western Kentucky...
The surprise....without any explanation -- Alex Legion who was dressed and on the bench did not play. Is that surprising?.....he's already in trouble there!!
FIU, who have 3 top recruits (4-Star) in Dominique Ferguson, Phil Gary, and Alex Legion...are still struggling in their terribly weak Sun Belt at 8-12 and 3-5

Here's a medical note...............

It used to be one in every twenty -

Then it was one in every 15 women would get breast cancer before they died...

Then one in every 12..

then it was one in every TEN...

then one in NINE....

Now--- they say it's one in every EIGHT women will get breast cancer

Why is NOBODY asking WHY the rates are literally skyrocketing right before our eyes!!!

BUT moreso -- nobody wants to actually talk about what the answer is....and it is being hidden...

It's as simple as this...
if any factor was doubling and tripling the rate of measles, or doubling the rate of auto accidents...
or the rate of complications from plastic surgery....
...then the airwaves would be rife with talk about what's going on and what can we do about it...

BUT -- in just one generation the rates of breast cancer have more than doubled.

Death rates are way down but of course that has to do with 3 factors...
earlier detection, better surgery and better medical treatment.

BUT what's causing the rates to go up...and why doesn't anyone want to talk much about it...
People would rather parade around wearing pink ribbons and pretending we care and are doing something about it...

#1-we know hormone replacement therapy was a big part and now 50-80% of people who used to get Premarin are told not to use it...but still a lot of people are on it ..

BUT here's the other big reason and it is clear that they won't talk about it because it puts a HUGE onus of guilt on all women and even men who wanna live a lifestyle of their choice without fears of the consequences -- such as pregnancy...

In other words...nobody wants to point out the reason because it'll mess with people's ability to get it on as easy as they want..

Studies for years have proven that between 20% and even as high as 50% of breast cancers were due to hormone use and exposure..

BUT -- now all of a sudden -- the very thing that intelligent people for decades have known is true...has suddenly jumped up and bitten those deniers in the face...

THAT BIRTH CONTROL PILLS CAUSE BREAST CANCER...

OMG!! -- for almost 50 years we've been pushing women to go on oral contraceptives telling them they are safe and don't cause cancer...
some have claimed they even prevent cancer (they also once said that about post-menopausal hormone replacement.)
BUT now the very people who have tried like crazy to pretend this is NOT the case -- who have whistled in the dark for half a century claiming birth control pills don't hurt anyone...
are now having to admit they have been terribly wrong!!

BIRTH CONTROL PILLS DO CAUSE CANCER!!!
http://is.gd/HrK7Yh
http://is.gd/u5blgw

And since all the teenagers from the 60's, 70's, and 80's are now getting into their 40's, 50's and 60's....this is why we are seeing a tremendous increase in breast cancer rates!!!

Oddly -- the "experts" when they speak to this fact....do NOT hint that we should warn women to cut back or stop using BCP's...instead they point to the better cure rates of breast cancer -- so let's just let this whole thing slide.....

Here's their answer in one article...
"In theory, birth control pills, like any other source of estrogen, could affect the risk of breast cancer. However, the degree of real risk is not clear. There are a number of confusing factors."

So -- since we don't know how much it contributes and since other things also contribute -- then let's just FORGET the whole BCP connection!!

New and inventive ways of recruiting by Bill Self...and more on Bruce Pearl, etc.....

Bill Self is the king of the package deal....
he landed Mario Chalmers by hiring Chalmers' dad as an assistant coach, then canned the senior Chalmers just as soon as the kid graduated.
He recruited and landed Xavier Henry's basketball talent deficient brother just so he could get Xavier.

For years he's hired guys like Sherron Collins' head coach and other players' family members to staff summer camps, paying them bundles to do little - as a passable way of funneling money to and landing recruits.

Now he's found yet another way to pull off the package deal.

Here's a story out of IMG Academy that is kind of obscure and not getting much press.

Besides Phillip Greene and Jamari Traylor at IMG - kids BU has recruited -- there's yet another kid there who is the subject of an intense recruiting battle.

it is this kid, DeAndre Daniels, the #9 ranked kid nationally and one of the TOP 3 small forwards in the nation...
http://is.gd/QypU9w

Daniels is being heavily recruited by BOTH Kansas (Bill Self) and Kentucky (John Calipari) and others...but most experts believe this is an enormous battle and BIDDING war between Self & Calipari.

Daniels is the absolute HIGHEST ranked kid in the country who has yet to sign!
http://is.gd/9ksmn6

But Bill Self pulled a fine move yesterday and landed a preemptive strike!!
Talk about tricky -- here's what Self did...
DeAndre Daniels' best friend at IMG Academy and really his best friend for many years since high school and AAU ball, is another far less talented basketball player on the team named Christian Garrett.

Garrett is also a 2011 recruit but is zero-stars and not getting the least bit of recruiting attention from any D-I's

BUT Bill Self sees the opportunity to score points in the DeAndre Daniels battle and talked Christian Garrett into leaving IMG at mid-season,
and with enough credits officially to graduate. Garrett already graduated from high school and was doing a post-grad year at IMG hoping for some offers...
NOW ---- Garrett is SUDDENLY a full time enrolled student AT Kansas, and is ON the basketball team!!!
He is reportedly going to have to walk on this spring semester all the scholarships are taken, but is said to be in line for a scholarship next fall.
Whoa...wonder if Self will put DeAndre's girlfriend on the team, too!!! Or hire his parents as assistant coaches!
http://is.gd/jpZW6L
http://is.gd/PK7VKA

Garrett & Daniels have long best best friends even from their high school and AAU days in California...
and they even shopped prep schools together and chose IMG over South Kent so they could be together...so this is a good sign for Bill Self.
Here's a story in which Garrett himself says they are going to stick together, take their visits together and select a place to play where they can be together!
http://is.gd/cELXjY

So Bill Self again wins the creative award for the trickiest recruiting...nice when you have an unlimited budget!

Here's a newsflash....University of Tennessee and Bruce Pearl just investigated themselves and claim...
"There's NO NCAA VIOLATIONS!!"
yeah -- right.........
http://is.gd/kuQ5qa

BUT now -- the details of this story indicate Tennessee is either lying or blind! Clearly Woolridge got a special favor because he was a star on the basketball team and THAT IS an NCAA violation!
http://is.gd/zMghTm

Some may think I pick on Tennessee a lot, but these are real stories of cheating happening almost daily there....Bruce and his gang of cheats and thugs kinda make it easy to cite all their violations!

How much more proof does anyone need to let go of the crop circle argument to prove aliens?

Just think, your kids can buy and use a book bag that proves they are BETTER than their friends!

Go BU - beat ISU and more -- but I've spared you the Keith Olbermann jokes...

Kind of a bummer weekend -- with BU going to 0-9 and the Bears losing...but there's always next year!!

I am still anxiously looking forward to the ISU game Wednesday and I think we were ever so close to getting a road win at Evansville -- but need to shore up a couple problems, in addition to late free throw shooting!

I have a couple suggestions...maybe I'm being harsh...but I guess it might be time for a little harsh rules of reality!

I felt the game was put in jeopardy early because of the turnovers and the Evansville 3-pointers.

We had turnovers on each of our first TWO possessions, then on several more in the first 10-15 minutes.

Also -- we lead at the 15 minute mark 7-6, then SIX three pointers (by Cox, Jahr, Holmes, Ryan, Harris, then Jahr again) in the next 10 minutes..ran the score out to a double digit lead for Evansville.

SO -- here's my suggestion...
WE MUST take better care of the ball in the first 10 minutes, and we need to stop every single team we play from cashing in on early 3-pointers (just as SIU, InSU, MSU, and Creighton did)...

A) I'd instantly bench anyone who commits a turnover in the first five
minutes, especially one that is due to simply not paying attention like
dropping a ball out of bounds or dribbling it off your foot!

B) I'd instantly bench and go with a walk on if necessary -- any players
whose man drains a 3-pointer in the first 10-15 minutes of the game.

I know this sounds a little harsh and maybe isn't always fair as defenders do get lost on a switch or a screen, but seriously -- every game the past month has basically been lost in the first 10 minutes because of turnovers and hot 3-pt shooting by the opponent!

Note that from the point where the lead hit double digits, all the way to the end of the game -- we outplayed and outscored them 54-47!

In basketball news elsewhere....
Even more turmoil for Bruce Pearl and Tennessee -- on the heels of the nationally televised loss to UConn...and discouraging 2-2 conference start...
and if they haven't had enough turmoil, arrests, drugs, cheating (although the NCAA will snooze on this one for a bit longer), etc..
now even MORE...

Rumor has it that several players are in trouble because of an altercation among team members...
but the only one being punished so far is freshman Jordan McRae..a 4-Star, Top 50 recruit.

The answer given to the press is "violation of team rules" but the heavy talk on the boards is that others were involved too but Pearl can't afford to suspend anyone who plays more than 6-8 minutes per game.
http://is.gd/7Hp42P

Max Bielfeldt was at Illinois over the weekend (he also swung by Valpo)...here's what he says about Illinois...
"They think I would be a good piece to their team in a couple years. They think it would be best if I redshirted."

Hmmm...memo to Max....you'd play right away at a place like BU, and you'd dominate - not just be a little "piece" of a team.

I saw this in the news...that a nova of the star in Orion named Betelgeuse is soon to affect earth. Seriously -- so how do they know this?? After you read, you realize they don't this is just more media tripe with little basis in facts.
http://is.gd/J86CZH

These guys even hint that it's a sign of the end of earth in 2012?
http://is.gd/4kJtZT

BUT -- what these articles fail to note is how truly scarce novas really are...given the enormous number of stars out there that if they DO nova, we'd see it!
The brightest one ever seen from earth was a nova of a star over 8000 light years away....(they talk about that one in those links)

But as I noted in a previous blog entry -- just given the number of stars out there -- we can see perhaps a billion trillion (10 to the 21st power)...should any of those even too distant to see with clarity go nova, then we'd probably see it anyway...
thus there's 10 to the 24th stars that we'd see should they go nova -- yet we only see one or two distant new novas a year and none close by!
http://is.gd/HJtxpy

Just statistically based on the believed age of the universe...the age-expectancy of stars, and the number of stars that exist -- we should be seeing tens of thousands or even millions of novas, but we are not...
it does throw a monkey wrench into the theories about the age of the universe!

Anyway even the WORST imaginable nova of Betelgeuse, some 640 light years away -- would never harm or affect earth in the slightest -- so to somehow connect this event to the doomsday theories of 2012 is silly.

Here is what may be a far bigger threat to us and to much of earth...

The Yellowstone area has been much more seismically and volcanically active over the past few years and the magma dome is bulging -- hinting at a possible mega-eruption sometime relatively soon....
if a major eruption happened just 1000 miles west of us, our whole area and certainly all the area in between might be greatly affected or destroyed!
http://is.gd/fTbURK

Here's a semi-scientific topic....
Jack LaLanne just died at 96 years of age and a million articles and reports all over are claiming it was undoubtedly due to his healthy lifestyle..
and so you and I ought to do just like he did...right??

His old age - 96 -- proves it, so nobody even raises a question about it...surely they just accept the spin that his health was something unique and was due to his habits.

BUT -- I will raise questions -- not to profane the old guy but to point out that just maybe he owed his health and long life to yet another source.

-First and foremost -- he and his family made a living on their talk about health and juicers, etc...so what do you expect them all to say??
People will always sell out and sell their soul to say whatever makes them money...

I likewise personally believe that even Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling was smart enough to engineer his loud and pervasive opinions about vitamins into a lucrative and money making business that all his family and descendants have enjoy for decades since he died...
He probably knew if he hyped up and exaggerated the benefits of vitamins than somewhere down the road his family could and would market "Linus Pauling" brand of vitamins or sell their name for brands and make money-- and guess what, THEY HAVE!!

So bingo -- it's all about making a buck off the stupid, uninformed and unsuspecting customer or sucker who buys and believes all this.
So I wouldn't believe a thing coming out of the Jack LaLanne camp as it's all about money...it's a business.

2nd -- for every 100 people who stay healthy until 96 or who live well into their 90's....
99 of them NEVER exercise and don't do any of the things that Jack LaLanne did...
but you'd laugh if I said this proves LaLanne wrong....
No it doesn't but it clearly shows the more likely thing is that a certain percentage of people WILL live long and healthy lives...and most do NOT do any of the "healthy things" that were promoted by the LaLanne camp.

By the way -- if you read his bio you see he really did have numerous health problems and the final 6-10 years of his life were NOT completely healthy and he even had heart surgery!!

Also -- it's obvious that Jack LaLanne had dyed his hair and his eyebrows, had plastic surgery on his wrinkles, and in his final years was even getting a little "Alzheimery"....

I would bet if we did the math and found how much time and money each person spends on exercise, health, and fitness stuff...
then we'd find that the amount spent does NOT correlate with long life or good health.

I'd suggest the vast majority of those living healthy well into their 80's and 90's never exercised nor ever spent a penny on vitamins or health food....and I happen to meet a whole bunch of them in my line of work...most giggle and scoff at the idea of finding breaks of time while they were raising their 8 kids or farming to work out at the gym, exercise regularly, or shop at a health food store! Most never did any of that and credit their long and healthy lives to something else altogether.
Oddly -- I have never seen an article written by a guy who goes and interviews all the healthy, old folks out in the country or at retirement homes....
nobody seems to care what they say and yet the fawn all over one guy who made a living as a health freak.

BTW -- I'd say that as a general rule, the people who are now living to be 90 -- those born in 1920 and before -- grew up and lived MOST of their lives in a time when NOBODY knew what vitamins were, nobody ever exercised or used health food items...etc...

BUT -- the generation now growing old who were born in the 50's, 60's, 70's etc...

AND -- just what is it everyone is saying about that generation??
They are saying they might be the FIRST generation that does NOT live longer than their parents...
HOW CAN THAT BE???
That's the exact group of people who have taken the MOST vitamins and spent the MOST time, effort, and money on exercise and health foods, etc!!!!

So I say just show the evidence that vitamins and exercise actually help!
Maybe they do, but I am not stupid enough to fall for the line that just because LaLanne, who was making $$ on all this, lives to 96 that he must have done it all right.

There are also gobs of stories on fitness freaks dying young and not living long healthy lives...
Remember Jim Fixx?? He was the guy often credited as the running guru that started the entire freaking trend of running in the western world!!

He dropped dead of a heart attack at age 52!!!!
I say for every La Lanne, there's at least one Fixx...
There are also a whole lot of extremely fit athletes that die quite young -- from Hank Gathers and Lenny Bias to Pete Maravich, Darryl Kile and Jose Lima -- two baseball players in their thirties who recently died young of massive heart disease despite leading quite healthy life styles.
http://is.gd/1Qhq5x

So -- believe as you wish, and there's nothing wrong with trying to be healthy and trying to find a healthy life style -- but I'd say don't spend a bunch on books, gimmicks, juicers, and the like -- just lead a decent, stress-free life, and follow the rules laid down a few millennia earlier..

Happy Birthday Will Egolf, toning UP the rhetoric and some Valley notes

Happy Birthday Will Egolf! (22nd)

Even thought we are being told to tone down the rhetoric, I will pay no mind to that as our rhetoric here is polite, yet important and necessary.
So -- here are two important rhetorical questions....answer for yourselves, but I am quite certain I already know the answers.

In the past two years the administration at Bradley has made MANY major changes.
They have canned or replaced..

-One Athletic Director plus a couple assistants in the department

-SIX head coaches (baseball, Cross Country, Tennis, Women's Golf, Volleyball, softball)

-and at least a dozen other different assistant coaches (including at least TWO and depending on what you believe, three basketball assistants).

Then here are the questions...

A) Despite the wholesale tinkering and changes.....are any of the programs consistently better or moreso heading in the "right" direction?
Keep in mind, the one reasonably successful softball season was due to all the great senior holdovers from the prior staff.

B) And despite all the personnel that have had the carpet yanked out from under them and the general lack of any feeling of security by anyone still there from before a couple years ago -- are any of the fans (or message board posters) any happier about ANYTHING than they were before all these massive changes and overhauls?

In other words....the very people whining and calling for changes have gotten plenty...and yet none have helped yet and none have even caused a minute or temporary stoppage in the caterwaul of complaining!

Hey -- I'm not against change if someone can show me the person doing the changing or the changes that have made to this point have, at any time, given anyone any benefit!

Or are people just simply so chronically miserable that "change" just for the sake of change is the only thing that they hope for? Seems like the last election proved a lot of people who clammor for change never bother to contemplate or put any thinking into what the impact of those changes might be or the fact that change alone can sometimes lead NOWHERE -- or worse, can lead to far less satisfactory end results.

A few Valley notes.......

-Indiana State lands verbal from a Class of 2012 player very similar to Just Gant (who's going to Indiana State next year).

Rhett Smith is a 6-7 forward who likes to shoot outside. He also had an offer from Gardner-Webb.
http://is.gd/Wrxd2f

One target of BU, Phillip Greene who was at IMG and was a teammate last year at Chicago Julian of Walt Lemon, verbaled to St. John's.
St. John's head coach Steve Lavin will have an interesting year next year as their recruiting class for next fall brings in NINE new players!
http://is.gd/up6off

After Missouri State's loss to Indiana State Wednesday -- both Kyle Weems and head coach Cuonzo Martin had some negative things to say about the officiating..
Kind of a little unsportsmanlike!
http://is.gd/1jcKaB

With 2 minutes to go in the UNI win over Wichita State, JT Durley injured his ankle and left the game.
He did not return to the game and there's been no word on whther he will miss any games due to the injury.
He was taken for XRays and the report was there are no fractures.
Durley commented on his Facebook that he had suffered a bone contusion, which is sometimes quite difficult to get over in any short span.
Durley has been to this point, arguably, the Shockers' most valuable player as Toure Murry has struggled at times, and Kyles has lost his starting spot.
Demetric Williams is also injured.

The Shockers, who were cruising at the top of the MVC, have now lost their last TWO home games, and they host Indiana State Saturday night.

one other Shocker note...
the weather was bad for Wednesday's game but not entirely horrible, and yet literally HALF the seats in the arena were empty as anyone could see who may have caught the game on Comcast.
http://is.gd/lYNAR2

Here's acomment from one of the Illinois blogs -- if I was Max I'd take this as an insult. They don't really seem to want Max, they seem to just want to be sure he doesn't land elsewhere and that maybe his presence even as a walk on might raise the GPA of the Illini -- that's kind of an insult!

Here's the quote:
"More and more, Illinois is warming to the idea of taking Peoria Notre Dame's Max Bielfeldt, if he will have them, in 2012. We'll see. But that is a better possibility now than, say, a month ago. If nothing else, he would raise their team GPA."

Illini fans on their boards universally really don't want him -- they are bummed about even the possibility that he'd take a scholarship away from a better player and would be a 4-year project or a redshirt that wouldn't help them until he was a senior..

Meanwhile over on the Hoosier board, the IU fans and even their beat writers celebrate that they stayed within 10 pts of Wisconsin.
Kind of a sorry state of affairs for the once proud Hoosier fan base!
BUT -- Wisconsin doesn't have the home court prowess as much as they used to -- three of Wisconsin's four home games in the Big Ten have been within 10 and the other one (16 pt over Michigan) was closer than the final indicates.

Arizona State gets blown out again -- Brandon Dunson didn't even play..

Robert Covington (Tenn St.) has had three consecutive great games..
18 pts/15 reb
13 pts/14 reb
20 pts/10 reb
...and we used the last ride that year on Dyricus...

ACC standings show some surprises...
Remember UNC was ranked Top 10 in the preseason and Virginia Tech, NC State, and Maryland all also got mentioned in early rankings...

BUT -- at this point Duke and also FSU & BC are at 4-1
UNC at 12-5 is in 4th place, then VT, then Clemson, Ga Tech, Miami, NC State, Maryland & Va are all at or below .500 and huddled in the lower half of the ACC - all with 5-8 losses!

Some observations on ISU, Taylor Brown, the Kansas scandal, another CPL brawl, and more...

Anyone else notice something funny going on at Illinois State? I am not going to be picky or critical since BU's doing no better, but Illinois State is in desperate need of scoring and yet some of their better players and better scorers are just not seeing the floor for some reason.
First, Kenyon Smith.....despite some comments about injury, even Redbird fans have commented that there's more to this story. Smith is in Jankovich's doghouse and isn't really getting any playing time.
Then there's John Wilkins...he's one of ISU's most reliable scorers. Wilkins is 3rd on the team in scoring average, and had previously been among the leaders in playing time, FG%, and 3-pt shooting %. Then after playing 26-28 minutes every game up 'til last night...suddenly he looks totally disinterested in playing, wasn't hustling at all, and played only a total of 12 minutes last night at Drake....and fouls had NOTHING to do with it.

ISU as a team is now shooting just 28.9% from 3-pt -- that's way LAST in the MVC -- so why would they curtail the playing time of one of the only two players they have that shoot over 28% from beyond the arc?

But -- John Wilkins ended the game last night with one made basket, 3 points, and NO rebounds, no assists, in just 12 minutes.

Someone told me that they thought it appeared there was some kind of animosity going on between Jankovich and John Wilkins.
Wilkins started, but was yanked after just the first 5 minutes of the first half, and did not return again as ISU struggled to score and Drake built a 6-point halftime lead.
Then he started the 2nd half, played less than 3 minutes, was taken out again.
Then he sat for the next 13 minutes and was reinserted with 4:35 minutes left, after Drake had built a 20 point lead.

So time will tell -- but fans there are getting more restless than in Peoria! at least we have the prospect of becoming a far better team in time for the Valley Tournament if we get one of our players back!

Anyone wonder why Taylor Brown might not have been noticed much when he was in high school and he "flew under the radar"??
It was because his Dunwoody, Georgia team that won state championships was absolutely loaded with other talented players.

Here's a list of who all was on his teams at Dunwoody...

In Taylor's Class of 2007, two other players got a lot of D-I attention..

Guard Zac Swansey went to Georgia then when a coaching change happened he has transferred to Tennessee Tech
http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=2314989

Also in Taylor's Class of 2007, was Dontrell Taylor who went to Tennessee State, and Albury Doss, who first went to juco then D-II.

In the class right behind TB, there was a really strong player, a solid 6-5 wing named Delwan Graham who was an LSU recruit. He also left when there was a coaching change at LSU and ended up at Jacksonville.
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Delwan-Graham-42624
http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=37&f=2693&t=5992088

But the best player in Dunwoody's Class of 2008 was a 5-STAR kid who went to Florida State, Chris Singleton, who would have been a junior, a year behind TB.
http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=2492987

Florida State scored a package deal however by also landing Dunwoody Class of 2008 Pierre Jordan.
http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=2401369

AND -- in the year before Taylor was a senior, in the Dunwoody Class of 2006, there were several more fine players...
-An'Juan Wilderness went to Charlotte..
http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=1113089

-Kierre Jordan Citadel went Pfeiffer
http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=1596704

-Wesley Mincey went to Gardner-Webb
http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=1817752

-and Chris Goode went D-II

Last night -- a few observations from the games played...

Carlton Fay hit the career 1000 point mark!! Congrats Carlton, I am still convinced he'd have been much better off and Bradley would have been much better of had he selected Bradley instead of ISU which were his two final college choices...

DePaul lost in a 30-pt rout to Marquette in the Big East and one of commentators last night turned right to a discussion of how DePaul needs out of the Big East in a hurry, they're getting embarrassed. Maybe the A-10 or MVC??

John Shurna was hot last night, especially in the first half, helping Northwestern back to 3-4 and 8th place in the Big Ten.

The Bulls played at home against Charlotte and were without BOTH Carlos Boozer (ankle sprain) and Joakim Noah (thunb surgery) and lost by a point. They needs to get their big guys back! This kinda proves you can't lose TWO starters and still be expected to preform as if you haven't lost anyone.
Anyone who says "you can't use injuries as an excuse" is being intentionally stupid!

In the NBDL
Blake Ahearn had 18 pts in Erie's loss, and Maine's Champ Oguchi had 16, Jamar Smith 11 in their loss.

Here's a scandal note....
Now two more of those involved in the Kansas ticket scandal have quickly copped a plea and gotten a nice deal from the prosecutors...
http://www.kansascity.com/2011/01/18/2593217/two-ex-officials-to-change-pleas.html#

I find it very interesting how so many in this scandal have hurriedly copped pleas and thus won't ever have to testify...
...could someone with influence possibly have an interest in seeing all these cases end quickly without testimony as certain people have said??

We're talking millions of dollars in theft and fraud here...and so far all have gone to plea deals (which clearly means whatever sentence is expected by the defendants must be pretty favorable and acceptable) -- and none have yet been sentenced and all the sentencing has been delayed months...
If none get jail time at all, then you never convince me that certain influential people that might have an interest in seeing that Kansas U. stays out of the headlines might be behind what's happening.

BUT -- here's a tip off to what is rumored to be happening...
It is no secret that many of the important players in all this, the prosecutors, judges, etc...are all Kansas grads and someone wants this all very quiet...

Another BRAWL and near riot in a Chicago Public League game!
http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/highschool/ct-spt-1008-prep-bkb-morgan-park-bogan,0,2844748.story

This happened despite four armed security people there!
Maybe they need the National Guard??

One of the teams, Morgan Park, is coached by Nick Irvin son of Mac Irvin and brother of SIU coach Lance Irvin.

Here's a quote from...
"Chicago Public League director of sports
administration Calvin Davis said via text message
Tuesday night that "since no players were ejected
and no technical fouls were issued, the game will
resume from the point it was halted."

He later told the Tribune that tape of the incident will
be reviewed.

"We sent four extra crowd control specialists to the
game," Davis said. "We're expecting the game to
played.

We will be continuing the game at the point it ended
unless something comes else comes out. We're
tentatively (scheduled) for Monday."

Hmmm...he sounds like he doesn't consider this a really big deal -- let's just pick up here we left off!! None of the players get disciplined at all!!

Kudos to the Renaissance Coliseum, some rumors, and D-I players don't trust their own coaches!

Numerous coaches who played yesterday at the Renaissance Coliseum had rave reviews!
http://blogs.pjstar.com/prepsplus/2011/01/18/reaction-on-renaissance/

Wow -- did you see this?? In an NCAA survey -- only 39% of NCAA D-I athletes said they believed they could trust their own coaches!!
When the same question was asked of men's D-I basketball players, only half said they could trust their coach!

So only half could trust their own head coach to do things in a fair manner....
Hmmm...I wonder how many at Kentucky said that??
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/2011-01-14-ncaa-survey_N.htm

Kudos to Peoria Manual's Paris Gulley...earned a scholarship this semester with his hard work...
"Awarded the Loren H. Walker Scholarship....
based on........"scholastic achievements, leadership abilities, and character"

http://www.bradleyfans.com/vb/showthread.php?p=209596#post209596

Here's an example of just how vindictive the NCAA can be...
of all the crap we have seen guys pull from the foulest of language and rage by Larry Eustachy to the sordid affairs of Rick Pitino to the player stealing and public attacks we saw from Ritchie McKay........
NONE of those guys get any penalties from the NCAA, they all get off...
But, this guy, Dip Metress, the head coach at Augusta State (D-II) whose team suffered a heartbreaking loss in the NCAA D-II basketball quarterfinal game, then kept his players in the lockerroom afterwards and thus they were unavailable for press interviews.
Virtually nobody noticed and given it was just a quarterfinal game at the D-II level..nothing was ever said. Except the NCAA seems to have an issue with the guy.

Well...if the NCAA is out to get you, then this is cause enough...
they have slammed Dip Metress with an NCAA sanction, a reprimand and a $2,300 fine!!!

Just a couple rumors I have heard...

Bruce Weber at U of I must know he's going to be very thin in the paint next year after both Mike Tisdale, Mike Davis, & Billy Cole depart.
One rumor was that he's checking into juco big men and is looking at and contemplating offering Monterrale Clark who is Michael Ochereobia's teammate at Highland CC.

Another local big man, Anthony Davis of Chicago Perspectives HS, who is signed by Calipari to Kentucky -- played in Springfield, Massachusetts yesterday in a national event. his Perspectives HS team lost again to fall to 4-12.
They lost 62-53 to St. John's Prep (tuition $18K) a medium sized east coast prep school in Massachusetts.

But Davis' team, Chicago Perspectives, has lost to many small and unheralded schools, even while he is scoring 30-40 points and grabbing 20 rebounds.
In fact, yesterday, he scored 30 points, had 16 rebounds, 7 assists, and two blocks, and still was NOT named the game's MVP. That award went to a St. John's player who scored 16.

Davis' team has even lost to such obscure opponents as a new Chicago High School named Chicago Little Village HS.
http://www.lvlhs.org/

Midway through the 4th quarter, however, Davis hurt his right hand. Some reports say it was his wrist, but others say he hurt his right thumb. Either way, he left the game in pain and did not return. There has been no other word or statement on the injury although it doesn't stop blog and board speculation that maybe it's more serious than just a sprain, and may cause Davis to miss some time.
http://www.maxpreps.com/news/-BCzaiJTEeCGDwAcxJSkrA/anthony-davis-injures-right-hand-at-hoophall-classic.htm

One other highly rated Chicago kid Wayne Blackshear hurt his knee in a separate big national event.
Blackshear came down hard on his knee after a dunk attempt, and left the game in pain.
He returned for a little bit but and did not look comfortable the rest of the way. Again -- no update on the situation since the game.
http://www.cardchronicle.com/2011/1/17/1940437/wayne-blackshear-gives-us-a-little-scare

Another Illinois kid who was overlooked by almost everyone, is Derek Needham, from Chicago DeLaSalle HS, who is currently a sophomore whose only offer was Fairfield.
Now in his 2nd year at Fairfield, after averaging 16.4 ppg and 5.2 assists per game last as a freshman PG (6-ft), this season he's at 14 ppg, 5.1 apg, but just had a 27 pt/5 asst game yesterday, and is consistent - missing double digits in scoring only twice in 17 games.
Fairfield is 13-4.

Manual's Marvin Jordan, who is at Niagara after getting few offers....is a freshman averaging 10 ppg, 3 reb, 3 asst.

We miss Sammy & TB, but some good news maybe on the horizon...and lots more, incl. more records & floods caused by the global warming crew & more...

Unfortunately despite a hard fought 2nd half, Bradley drops to 0-7 in the Valley, and 6-12 overall...with almost all of those 12 losses within 8 points, and most all of them would have been a different story if we'd have had our starting PG and best rebounder, TB & Sammy.
I have a good feel, based on a few reasons, to think that by the time we get to St. Louis, we'll be a team that can compete for some wins...so hang in there Braves fans.

One BU player who was present on the bench at the Indiana State game last week -- was not present last night, leading to speculation.
I think BU might have a new commitment within the next few months.....

Here's an interesting rant I found over on one of the Illinois boards...
It's an Illinois fan saying Illinois should dump Bruce Weber and hire...
....better sit down....
and hire Wayne McClain as head coach of the Illini!!!!!
http://is.gd/kBfGPy

BUT WAIT -- it gets even better....
here are some of the things the guy says about McClain!!

-- "He has produced no less than 10 NBA players"
..OMG!!! like can you name more than ONE?? Frank Williams is the only one I know of and he turned out to be a horrible work ethic and a flop.

-- "this man knows Illinois Baskeball better than anyone alive"
....then why isn't McClain's name mentioned even once when all those great instate players are being landed at Illinois....instead it's always Jerrance Howard!

--".. his recruiting skills are excellent"
..well, he did "land" Marcus Arnold from ISU

--".. Bruce inherited Selfs boys but come-on just about any coach in D-1 could have got them to the final 4"
..hmm..then didn't McClain inherit Van Scyoc's boys and they already were state champs...Grandma Moses could have gotten them back for more titles.

Anyway -- it's an interesting scenario....Illini fans wanting to jettison Bruce Weber and hire Wayne McClain!!
Do they know they are saying all this right on the heels of conceding that Weber and staff have been great recruiters and are currently ranked!!

Now -- according to some other chatter on the Illinois boards...
..there appear to be maybe three U of I players who are not happy about playing time...
in addition to Crandall Head & Joe Bertrand, Jereme Richmond has left the team for mysterious reasons...
http://is.gd/9OGUII
http://is.gd/bktMqf

Here's some evidence of message board wars...
The people on Illiniboard hate the people on scout.com....and are calling some out by name!!
http://is.gd/mKhfcc

Some random news...
Purdue recruit injured severely...
http://is.gd/yro7TX

Lots of fans at Indiana upset that certain fans are using the "You suck" chant during free throws and at other times. A team with such a good legacy but a currently bad record should not be deteriorating into the kind of chants that made ISU famous...
http://is.gd/DcQwTP

And speaking of ranting non-stop about your team and coach...Tennessee fans are really hot about all the losses to nobodies while they were ranked and many want Bruce Pearl GONE!!
This along with the grumbling at just about every other school regardless of how well they're playing, I think shows that the grumbling comes from the types of fans we're talking about not from the performance of the team!

DePaul fans wanting to get out of the Big East -- they know they're never going to compete there!
?? So -- where they gonna go.......to the A-10??
http://is.gd/oo3Qs9

What's up with this??? Can cloning a dinosaur be next??
These guys have been watching Jurassic Park!
http://is.gd/K24c9q

Here's an editorial I find interesting....by Ted Nugent -- vocal gun owner and enthusiast...

..and he predicts more lunatics will commit even more and worse carnage..
he says we need to be prepared...but it's not because of the guns, it's because of the environment that causes wackos to act out their rage!
http://is.gd/9RftYn

And notice the insignia of the liberal Washington Times...crosshairs on several states!! Where's the outrage??
http://is.gd/qOGFEB

But here's the best piece of the entire day -- and maybe the entire month!!
All those horrible Australian flood that are killing dozens...

It's being blamed on GLOBAL WARMING ACTIVISTS and BELIEVERS!!!
NOT on the warming itself but on the people who are politically active in regards to warming!

"Ever more alarming facts are emerging to show how
Brisbane’s floods were made infinitely worse by
cockeyed decisions inspired by the obsession of the
Australian authorities with global warming.

For years, Australia’s warmists have been advising
the authorities that the danger posed to the country
by global warming is not floods but droughts: not too
much rain but too little. One result, in Brisbane, was
a relaxation of planning rules, to allow building on
areas vulnerable to flooding in the past. "

For decades those activists have been pressuring the government to prepare for and be more worried about DROUGHT!!!

and it catches the country horribly badly prepared for floods!!
http://is.gd/H8JLFP
http://is.gd/z2SdAr

When a study showed they needed to invest in better flood prevention they instead spent years and years plus $13 billions of dollars ignoring flood concerns and instead building desalinization plants and irrigation works....
They have been done in by worrying about global warming when that wasn't the threat!

Lastly -- just for your enjoyment...the daily barrage of record low temperatures all over the world!!
Record low temperatures in northern Asia/India/Korea..
http://is.gd/hU6bLV

Even Miami, Sarasota...having record cold spells..
http://is.gd/cOI6H2
http://is.gd/nzTymW
http://is.gd/bnJlNB

AND -- even all across Canada & the US
http://is.gd/R2EH0I
http://is.gd/zoKi7D

Anyone bother to watch the GOLDEN GLOBES last night...
not only did you have to put up with lame MC'ing and horrible jokes, but now there's evidence that the awards themselves were up for the highest bidder...
bribery in the Golden Globe awarding!!!
http://is.gd/nCRl2d

If corruption and scandal rules the Golden Globes, then can there be any doubt that even worse corruption rules in the world of global warming!

And lastly.......this is why it pleased me to no end that when an IRS agent audited me over three full years' worth of taxes, that in the end I was not only completely exonerated, but the IRS ended up OWING ME MONEY!!!
It's because they are more corrupt than anyone else...

Reports on Remy Abell, Cellus & Zach have monster games, and MORE, including a Matt Roth followup..

Nice reports on Bradley recruit Remy Abell....he is playing very well!
http://www.bradleyfans.com/vb/showthread.php?p=209157#post209157

The team Remy's Louisville Eastern squad just beat for the Championship in the Louisville Invite was Ballard, previously the #1 ranked team in the state, and the top seed in the tourney -- so NOW without a doubt, Remy's team is TOPS in the STATE.
Remy was named MVP of the Tourney!

Bradley hosting Missouri State tonight -- GO Braves!!
Bradley is no longer in last place in the Valley as ISU lost last night to go 0-7 and claim sole possession of last place.
ISU lost at home to Evansville, 59-54, the Redbirds committing 22 turnovers.
http://www.bradleyfans.com/vb/showthread.php?t=17416

Marcellus Sommerville had another tremendous game last night for his Paris Levallois team, scoring 26 points on 10-17, and 4-7 from 3-pt, also 7 rebs, 4 asst....helping his squad to a 79=73 win over Orleans. Cellus is averaging 14 pt, 9 reb!

Zach Andrews also had another INCREDIBLE game last night for Niigata Albirex in Japan...
He had 15 points and 19 rebounds in his team's 79-58 win!

Will Franklin's ES Sahel Tunisian team is now 18-1 and has not lost since will joined the team. Tunisia is undergoing some civil unrest and riots as many of you have heard.
http://is.gd/1Juudh

Aba Koita's La Rochelle Rupella French team has one of the best records in all of French basketball, 21-5.

Can you believe how fast the talk among ISU Redbird fans has gone from having the best coach in the Valley to wanting to fire Tim Jankovich?
Here's an example of the threads on their boards...
talking about firing Tim Jankovich!!
http://www.redbirdfan.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=807

Did anyone see the Michigan at Indiana game yesterday? Indiana finally got their first Big Ten win, but Michigan played so bad...
They simply couldn't score or rebound in the first half. Amazingly they did NOT get their first rebound until almost 11 minutes into the game, and found themselves down to a pretty bad Indiana team by almost 20 in the first half.
Indiana maintained roughly a 15-20 point lead the entire 2nd half and were really never threatened...

So Matt Roth must have finally gotten a chance to play, right?
NOPE -- he never even got off the bench until late in the 2nd half when Indiana was already up by 18, and Matt played less than TWO minutes, nailed a 3-pointer, then was yanked out and the STARTERS were re-inserted and played the final 10 minutes, except Matt was put back in at garbage time, and only ONE minute to go -- hitting a 2nd 3-pointer.

So Matt Roth even in the closest thing to a blowout Indiana's going to have the rest of the year, gets only 3 minutes!
Matt's 6 points (in just three minutes) outscored one of the starters and three of the other reserve guys who played substantially more than Matt did.
I assume he has to know that he's never going to play more than a couple minutes a game...Since conference play started Matt is averaging 4 minutes per game.

In high school play last night, Peoria Central hosted Quincy and came away with a 67-41 win, but both head coaches picked up technicals in what sounds like a terrible display of sportsmanship by both teams, and ...
".. friction that had the Peoria police officers blowing whistles and ushering fans out of the gym after the game."

The coverage in the PJS and the Quincy coverage describes constant trash talking and fighting, and the serious likelihood that the two schools will void the contract they have and not play next year.
Central coach Dan Ruffin said..
"They try to cheat us, then get in my face about it?
"Why should we go back (to Quincy) and get cheated? Every time we go there, we might as well walk in backwards."

And "Sean Taylor, the Quincy coach responded (to Ruffin) with: “Don’t look at me. I don’t care if you beat us by 50. You still have no class.”"

Ex-ISU Redbird, Jeremy Robinson, who was Janked off the ISU roster a year ago -- is playing this year at Iowa Western CC. He is doing pretty well, averaging 18.9 ppg and 8.4 rebounds.

The Bears winning the NFC North now looks to be quite a great accomplishment, now that it's seen how totally the 2nd place team in the North demolished the Atlanta Falcons!

Uh oh...more threatened violence following the Tucson shootings...
http://is.gd/ar9xkR

This time, however, we have have one of the shooting victims going ballistic at a CHURCH forum discussing the violence, and needing to be "committed for mental health evaluation"!!
A guy named J. Eric Fuller shouted and threatened a man that he thought was a Tea Party member and proclaimed...
"YOU'RE DEAD!" -- REQUIRING POLICE TO INTERVENE.
Fuller then turned to a group of women at the forum IN A Catholic Church, and shouted at them..
"YOU'RE ALL WHORES".

FULLER, when interviewed, expressed many angry comments and hateful sentiments towards the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, and Republican leaders.

Hmmm...will the very same people who blamed Sarah Palin for the recent shootings, now take BLAME themselves for this liberal wacko going ballistic, making death threats, and needing psychiatric help. Surely the hate and vitriol of Keith Olbermann and the left are responsible for this man's rage and hate!

Lots of basketball news, and yet another astoundingly bad prediction!!

DePaul just landed a transfer.....Miami's Donovan Kirk has left and will transfer to DePaul...
Surely that must be good, right??? DePaul needs all the help they can get. BUT here's where the whole thing backfires...
DePaul's top incoming prospect for next fall, Braeden Anderson -- as soon as he hears DePaul landed Kirk (a similar player) then Anderson renegs and asks out of his LOI -- ha, ha....what a gas....
It obviously does NOT pay to be Transfer U as ISU is now learning as well......
http://depaul.scout.com/2/1039693.html

Interesting Tom Crean tweet in the middle of a horrific losing streak and slump by the Hoosiers...
"There is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some people more than having to think..."
http://twitter.com/#!/TomCrean/status/26115038175567872

Hmm...I don't know about most Hoosier fans, but this seems a little of an insult to any fan who wants an answer how Indiana can still be so very bad after 3 years under Tom Crean and several consecutive Top 10 recruiting classes.
Crean seems to be telling the fans that only he is capable of seeing this in the proper context and being able "to think".

Even more NCAA HYPOCRISY!!! So they want to get serious about cheating?? Yet another BCS team gets caught...this time Texas Tech caught with over 1000 impermissible phone calls and text messages, and the NCAA gives them...
NOTHING...yes, absolutely nothing at all....the simply go along with the already mild self-imposed minimal restrictions...
What a sham and what a bunch of hypocrites...

And at this very time the headline story on the NCAA web site is this..
"(New NCAA head) Emmert Pledges Changes"...in policing the cheating!!!
WHAT A LAUGH!!!!!!!!
http://ncaa.org/

Nice to see the Bulls back on track and shutting down Danny Granger and the Pacers!

Premium article -- the talent coming out of New York City has all but dried up !!!
http://nychoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1175429

There used to be a hot debate as to whether New York or Chicago had the best talent -- now it's not even a contest...here are some clips...
"NYC Talent: Recession or Depression?

There seems to be a dirty little secret in New York. A secret that no one talks about openly but everybody seems to be aware of.
There's been a steady decrease in the quality of NYC's talent pool. A decline that seems to have begun about five years ago but who many believe has now reached critical mass.

..a widely held belief for the quality drop-off in the NY talent pool is the lack of fundamentals training. "[There's] too much AAU basketball and no skill development,"

"Basketball is down all over. When I grew up, we played in the parks. There were no nutritionists or personal trainers. We played against bigger, stronger, older players and we learned how to think....today's youth are the "AAU generation" who want instant gratification. "

Today marks this blog's 500th blog entry...
If you look you won't find 500 entries still stored...some have been merged and some purged...
but in honor of the 500th entry I will give my all time Heroes and A**h**** awards...

You may agree or disagree, but here are my choices...

Heroes:

- Anyone who battles a guy that's killing children with an automatic weapon and trying to reload to kill more people. I consider those who rushed Jared Loughner and subdued him (and others who perform like heroism) as heroes.

- Anyone who gives substantial time to underprivileged children or who opens their home to those less fortunate.

- Those who love this country and serve to protect it both here and overseas.

- Those who give their time and MONEY to help others that have less or who give to good causes that benefit those who need it most.

- Those who display honesty all the time even when it is NOT to their advantage.

- Those who remain loyal even in tough times...and that extends all the way down to being loyal to your team.

Now here are my selections for all time A** h*****:

- People who kill or injure children.

- People who assault or kill for their own pleasure and convenience. We read about it every day in the news.

- People who think only of themselves and what they want and what pleases them.

- People who lie to fit their fancy or to profit themselves.

- Cowards who are brave only when they are pointing a gun at children or innocent, unarmed people.

- People who teach or indoctrinate their children or others in hate.
http://www.allbusiness.com/society-social-assistance-lifestyle/religion-spirituality/15314043-1.html

- People who are only loyal to themselves.

- People who do nothing but gripe about what others do.

- BCS schools that cheat and the NCAA that enables them to and to get away with it unpunished!

Speaking of really bad predictions (see yesterday's blog)...here's just one more that I fell compelled to cite....

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr....in an effort to jump on the global warming bandwagon, even though he has about as much climate expertise as a snail...
wrote an editorial that appeared in the The Los Angeles Times on Sept. 24, 2008....
It said this.....

..that numerous weird weather events were the sure result of massive global warming and that Washington, DC "may never see snow again"
http://www.westerntradition.org/?p=553

This actually wasn't even Kennedy's original idea, as an editorial in Boston just a little earlier also said "our children may never see snow in their lifetime"...

and the crooked Climategate guys in Great Britain whose corruption and fraud was exposed when their e mails were made public..had also said that British children may never seen snow again...
http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/snowfalls-are-now-just-a-thing-of-the-past-724017.html

And other liberal senators have used that very phrase on the floor of the Senate claiming children in Washington, DC will never know what snow looks like!!

Well.......the past three consecutive winters have been record-setters in all those areas that those predictions were made.

Washington, DC and the entire east coast have been hammered with record-setting snowstorms each of the past two winters, and this one's not near over year!
So now those predictions of not knowing what snow looks like seem pretty silly and those dishonest warmers are trying to pretend they never said those things...so someone need to remind us all that they DID make those claims -- and they even claimed their science proved it and backed it up!!

BUT -- Here's a photo from satellite of the entire British Isles completely covered by snow back in January of 2010...
http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/VNoaZRoJS6Y/Snow+Covered+British+Isles+Seen+Space

BUT many people said that once in a lifetime occurrence was only a fluke and would NEVER happen again....right??

Well, here's a photo from this winter -- just a couple weeks ago...
even MORE snow and more record setting COLD!!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-12052824

Well...all I can say is that if I had made so many wide ranging predictions and been wrong about every one of them...then I would fully expect I'd be completely discredited, and of course I'd shut up and admit I was wrong...

BUT -- here's what the global warmers do instead...

They just claim that all this incredibly severe cold and record setting frigid climate and snowfall is all caused by....
yup -- you guessed it -- caused by global warming!!!!
http://www.newstimes.com/local/article/Earth-Matters-Robert-Miller-Why-global-warming-957660.php

What a laugh just reading these guys' insanity! Thankfully nobody really takes them seriously any more.
But -- when will they give it up...it is NOT getting warmer -- in fact the evidence now shows it has NOT been getting warmer since the mid-1990's and in fact it's getting colder...

Anyone who says otherwise is clinging to false, fraudulent, and discredited data...and they are wacko -- or they are just being dishonest for their own personal or financial gain.

The single most astounding and prophetic prediction I have ever seen!!

Yup -- I am going to proclaim this one comment as the most prophetic prediction I have ever seen...and it is a "correct prediction" coming from the man who is now the most powerful man on earth, although his accuracy comes with an asterisk...

Here it is...on April 3, 2006, (future President) Barack Obama gave a speech about global warming and the dependence on foreign oil...

He said this...and this quote comes directly from the President's own web site documenting his speeches...

"..a very interesting story about some of the effects we're already seeing from global warming..
For decades, we've been warned by legions of scientists and mountains of evidence that this was coming..
And yet, for decades, far too many have ignored the warnings...
..But ..we're seeing that climate change is about more than a few unseasonably mild winters or hot summers. It's about the chain of natural catastrophes and devastating weather patterns that....

GLOBAL WARMING IS BEGINNING TO SET OFF AROUND THE WORLD - THE FREQUENCY AND INTENSITY OF WHICH ARE BREAKING RECORDS THOUSANDS OF YEARS OLD."

(emphasis mine)

http://obamaspeeches.com/060-Energy-Independence-and-the-Safety-of-Our-Planet-Obama-Speech.htm

So President Obama is saying that we will be seeing weather patterns that are breaking records that are thousands of years old!!!
Has anybody noticed he was right -- just check what's going on all around the world...

He was REMARKABLY right.....but incredibly he was right in the exact opposite way in which he had intended.
He was clearly trying to claim we'd be seeing hot weather that would be breaking records thousands of years old....

BUT -- instead what we are now seeing are COLD weather records being broken that are a thousand years old!!

Of course in 2006, the only data and scientific information he had to base his conclusions on was horribly corrupt, falsified, and just flat out WRONG - and now we know this all for a fact...
but I still find this as perhaps one of the most ironically accurate predictions in the history of mankind....a prediction that was so incredibly WRONG that in fact it was actually right in the precise way he worded it!

Check it out...click these links.....

"The Coldest Winter in 1,000 Years"

"The Coldest Winter in a Thousand Years"

"Europe is Expected to Have the Worst Winter in the Last 1000 Years"

"UK Winter may be coldest in 1000 years"

"Meteorologists Forecast Coldest Winter in Russia in 1000 Years!"

And even this...some of Australia's cool and rainy weather is thought to be the worst in 1000 years, and that Antarctic ice is getting thicker and may reach levels never before seen!!
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/04/17/revealed-antarctic-ice-growing-not-shrinking/

BTW -- one last thought...excavation of sites in Greenland and Nova Scotia show that in the time of the Vikings, the weather clearly and undeniably was warmer than it has ever been in our last several centuries...
The encampments found show that crops were being grown that would have required long growing seasons on very warm temperatures...even in far north sites of upper Canada and Greenland!!!
AND YET -- history tells us that the era from 1000AD to 1500AD (ending with the "Little Ice Age in the 16th thru 19th centuries) - when those temperatures in the 11th thru 16th centuries were QUITE WARM led to one of the greatest times of social and anthropological improvements in all of MANKIND'S history -- the entire world was explored, and settled, and tremendous new discoveries spanning biology, geography, and other sciences were made....from to Isaac Newton, Kepler, Galileo, Columbus, Da Vinci, Joan of Arc, even Ghengis Khan...

This period of unparalleled warm weather -- which would have been called a catastrophic period of global warming had the warmers been around back then, actually turned out to be very good for our earth -- not bad!!

Lastly -- remember this one...?
"An IPCC panel in 2007 predicted warmer temperatures could raise sea levels by 30 to 50 inches this century, which could flood low-lying areas and force millions to flee."

So sea levels are suposed to rise by as much as 50 inches???
FIFTY INCHES??? That's 1/2 inch per year...and yet in the past 20 years of supposed "global warming" we have seen a sea level rise of less than half an inch.....
or the real rate at its max is only one fortieth of an inch per year...
Whoa -- you gotta wonder just how wrong an expert can get and yet still be taken seriously by the ignorany media!!

recall, those who refuted "manmade global warming" said plainly the warming and cooling cycles were due to sun activity, and they were, as we see now, 100% correct -- as they were the ones who predicted we'd shortly be seeing these record cold patterns...

So just who are the BEST scientists to believe -- those who caused panic with inaccurate predictions and horribly wrong data, or those who were 100% correct with accurate data and predictions?
You decide.

Nominated for 2nd best prediction is this article from LAST SEASON by a writer at ISU about the ISU team and what to expect in the future..
I know Bradley is doing just as bad as ISU but Bradley is dealing with gobs of injuries and player losses...while ISU is at full strength.......

Yet last year this ISU writer hit it right on the head...

He accurately noted that three years of Jank using the prior coach's players against a woefully weak schecdule, and yet not getting past a game in the NIT was HORRIBLE!!!
It left a very bad taste in the writer's mouth and he was very worried about this coming year...
Then he accurately predicted ISU would be BAD this season...
"Sure, there’s a hungry, young cast ready to do MVC damage next year, but there will be no Eldridge, a three-time All-Valley first teamer. There will be no Dinma Odiakosa, the Valley Player of the Year runner-up. There will be no sacrifice-everything Lloyd Phillips. The Redbirds have graduated some talented players over the years, but this time, there’s no “maybe next year” feeling."

Debunking more myths, and some college players behaving badly, also exposing the corrupt left..

I read with interest some comments -- even some from professionals saying that BU's opponent tonight, Indiana State is playing under the SAME circumstances as Bradley is, and while BU is 0-5, Indiana State is 4-1 in the Missouri Valley race!
Somehow I get a strong sense that such comments are clearly meant to downgrade BU and say that the losses of Sammy & TB cannot be used to explain Bradley's bad performance thus far.

I think this is a little disingenuous...although in no way am I trying to say BU is playing as well as Indiana State...but here's the actual facts...
You can believe as you want or think like Dave Reynolds, but you will not be able to refute these simple facts...

BU has been without two of their best 3 players pretty much all season, forcing several players to play out of position...
BU's two injured guys have missed 26 games combined.

...and although I agree SM played 6 games -- it was obvious how valuable he is because we won most of them...and lost the ones he could not play due to pain...

Indiana State by contrast...was without Lathan for ONLY 3 games...and fortunately in that 3-game stretch - they played 3 of the weakest MVC teams whose combined Valley record is just 4-11..
And Kelly has missed just 5 games...so the TOTAL their two players missed is just EIGHT games!!!
So is Dave Reynolds saying the Sycamores guys being out for 8 games is the same as the BU guys being out for 26 games? NONSENSE!!
BTW -- two other BU starters, Lemon & DSE have missed an additional 3 games...

So as usual, this idea that Indiana State is forced to play under the same circumstances as Bradley is just total baloney...nowhere even close!!

Here's one other comparison..the two teams have NOT faced the same toughness of scheduling!!

-Indiana State in their five Valley games so far have played 3 at home and the only two road games were at bottom dwellers (road opponents 3-7)
AND not one of their five opponents yet has a winning record!!

-Bradley has had only 2 home games, 3 on the road (road opponents 8-7), and 3 of five BU opponents have winning records while the other two are only one game from a winning record!

Regardless, I am still 100% behind our guys, and I am rooting for a BIG win tonight...I'll be there, GO Braves!!!!!!!

A couple very interesting discipline topics now that the various conference races are really heating up...

-At Minnesota, after losing their starting point guard Devoe Joseph, now oft-troubled and oft-suspended or expelled Trevor Mbakwe is in trouble yet again!
He has violated a restraining order, gotten arrested, spent a little time in jail and is now bailed out.
Everyone, even the generally supportive Minnesota press is calling for Mbakwe to get a suspension from the team because otherwise it looks like this kind of illegal behavior is just getting condoned and accepted there.
BUT -- Mbakwe is the Gophers' best player and leading scorer...so they don't want to be without him, and Tubby needs him bad!!
So Mbakwe isn't even missing a minute of practice and he sure isn't getting any game suspensions...
http://is.gd/FczdmZ

At University of Washington -- one of their players is under investigation for rape...but not only is the kid still fully active and on the team, but nobody wants to even talk about who it is...
All the press is protecting the alleged rapist's identity, the school isn't talking, and yet there is evidence to show that it is one of their best and most experienced players...
Head coach Lorenzo Romar says it is very serious and they will take action, but as of yet, two days into this, they are still denying everything, giving no hints of who the player is, and nobody's being disciplined!
http://is.gd/IqcmBf
http://is.gd/95XCZI

Likewise one of UCLA's young stars is in trouble -- but not enough trouble to warrant any actual penalty according to Ben Howland - coach of the struggling UCLA Bruins...
Normally this kind of action absolutely HAS TO be penalized if you want to send the right signal..but letting totally off the hook says discipline is really soft if you are good and we need your talent...
http://is.gd/A1Z2Nl

Lastly a little snippet about Larry Eustachy getting into trouble.....

Larry went ballistic in a game his team was losing at Marshall by 30 points, 95-65...
he was T'ed up a couple times then had to be literally dragged off the court by cops....
"Eustachy, almost continuously agitated from ..1:53 into the game
...Eustachy went after Mathis, bumping into fellow official Hal Lusk two or three times. That triggered technical No. 2 and an ejection.
But Eustachy wasn't going off quietly. A Marshall official helped escort him, and then Eagles forward Gary Flowers tried to diffuse the situation.
An MU police officer arrived, with several other MU officials.
Firing repeated "F-bombs" across the floor, Eustachy kept at it with police several minutes after entering the tunnel to the visitors' locker room.
He was not arrested. "You've got good policemen on campus," Eustachy joked. "They make sure they get you places.
As he departed, he cracked, "Don't worry about me tonight - I'm more protected than Obama."
(police escort)

Also -- here's yet another list of the
"25 Sketchiest Programs in Hoops History"
..and all the favorites are on it...Eustachy, Pearl, Sampson, Quin Snyder, Tim Floyd,
Harrick, Tark, Bliss, CCNY, AND John Calipari makes the list THREE TIMES...
at #20, #14, and #3

And finally this.... ** and beware ** -- it is political and it is blunt and right to the point and accurate....

After all the irresponsible rantings about the political rhetoric, and the liberal slams against some for causing this guy Loughner to go wacky ...
well...here's the truth...
HE WAS NOT...influenced by anything he heard on talk radio, or anything he heard on Fox...
here's what motivated the guy....it was a weird, far, far left wing, wacky conspiracy theory that involves hating capitalism that controls the currency, hating the oppressive government that hides their involvement in 9/11, and that feels all the power has been taken from and needs to be returned to the people...kinda like a Communist revolution...
So -- the guy was bordering on being as far, far left almost Communist as can be...

Check on your own into this "Zeitgeist" movement, and 9/11 truthers, and Loose Change documentaries...see who else believes in that stuff...

Lo and behold..it's the way, way out radical leftists and liberals, the progressives, and even Communists...
the Van Jones' of the world....and even the kooks like Michael Moore and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayres...and the other close allies of President Obama...
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/01/12/report-alleged-arizona-gunman-did-watch-news-television/
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/sep/06/van-jones-resigns-republicans

So the past few days have shown this...the liberals will jump at any opportunity,
they'll take advantage of any tragedy no matter how severe..and stomp on anyone's grave to try to score some political points against who they see as an adversary...
They are filled with hate and irrationality...and they are again exposed.
Take that Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, and Keith Olbermann...you guys have again shown your angry and despicable hatred for decency and common sense.
and, in the process, you have opened a can of worms that displays and exposes your own part in all of this hatred.

If anyone was responsible for the killing tendencies of one Jared Loughner...
it is NOT anyone conservative or on talk radio or Fox News...
it is the progressives and far leftists that populate the Cabinet and Czars, and the Hollywood types like Michael Moore and the makers of Zeitgeist.....go after them...see if you can ban them or take away their 1st Amendment rights, and leave the rest of everyone else alone!

Sorry we have to do this -- but a couple more myths have to be busted...

The two most ridiculous myths I have heard here recently...

-that the Arizona murderer was influenced by conservative talk radio, FoxNews, and Rush Limbaugh
-and that all the worst hate speech and "vitriolic talk" comes from people like Sarah Palin and Bill O'Reilly

If you buy either one of those, then you are a huge sucker...

First, here are just a few things that have been undeniably proven about the killer, Jared Loughner..

- one of his videos shows him burning the American flag
- he is described by many of th epeople who knew him as being a “left-winger” and a “liberal”
- frequently smoked pot
- had a strange desire to dress up as the grim reaper in public and at school
- he was dabbling in the occult by worshipping a replica of a human skull (see below)
- Expressing the desire to be a woman
- Describing Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto as a favorite book

Some newspaper guys camping outside Loughner's parents home snuck inside to get this picture and the parents were irate and called police..
so all other pictures were taken using a crane, a boom, and lifting the camera up over the walls..
http://is.gd/kzrKK

This is a weird shrine that Loughner used to worship the devil...
Check picture #4 here -- one guy snapped shot of this hidden occult temple of Loughner's
http://is.gd/kzrXt

and here's the skull/altar he worshipped at, before Loughner's parents tore it all down and then denied it's existence..
http://is.gd/kzsdI

This guy was as far left as Charles Manson and his gang and were about as likely to be influenced by the conservative right as a stone.

Then who is the more vitriolic....all the hate speech we have heard from the far left like the Black Panthers, Bill Ayers, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, etc....
proves it is NOT anyone conservative...

In fact, just this morning I saw this...

One liberal blogger via Huffington Post (they took it down) calling for a missile strike on Sarah Palin!!
http://is.gd/kzsTe

Then this guy calling for Bill O'Reilly to be riddled with bullets!!
http://is.gd/kzt6c

I think the case can be closed on this....even the HUGE majority of Americans disagree with the liberal rants about who is responsible with hate talk....obviously most people know the liberals are simply ignoring and denying their own problems...

Here's the BIG BREAKING NEWS...
The vast majority of Americans DISAGREE with the sole ploy being used by the Democrats the past few days..

BY a huge 2-1 margin, Americans....
" ..reject the view that heated political rhetoric was a factor in the weekend shootings in Arizona"

So the Dems' strategy is backfiring!!
http://is.gd/kztG8

Carlton Fay was robbed, news on POB, IU hurting and playing dirty, and lots of other interesting items..

Carlton Fay was absolutely robbed...

Kudos to Kyle Weems who had two good games last week and was named MVC Player of the Week...I am happy for him but seriously...what the hey...how can they not give the award to SIU's Carlton Fay?

Kyle Weems had a good week and in 3 games averaged 14 ppg for Missouri State, while Carlton Fay had games of 19 points, 7pts with 8 rebs, and 33 pts (average of 20 ppg!!)
I think CFay was robbed...no two ways about it...if you're going to give a Player of the Week award then stop using other criteria such as whether the team won all their games!

BTW -- did you see this??
Patrick O'Bryant is back from China and is now going to be assigned to a D-League team...
http://is.gd/kz2jE

Minnesota's Trevor Mbakwe, their best player, is back in trouble...and this episode is going to prove how desperate Tubby Smith is...as everyone knows he NEEDS Mbakwe if he's going to contend in the Big Ten.
http://is.gd/kz2J4

Mbakwe violated a legal restraining order..now arrested and in jail......
but the local press says that's not something for the team to punish him for..
They want to just forget the whole thing....
I wonder if the press in Peoria would forget the whole thing or promote the idea we should just ignore this whole thing?
http://is.gd/kz2Tt

More Big Ten news...
Dirty play by Indiana's Derek Elston on Northwestern's Alex Marcotullio is a big topic...
Watch for yourself but I am convinced it is a dirty, intentional trip of an unsuspecting player that Elston was not even guarding -- and it was well away from the play while the ball was still in the backcourt.

The refs were generous in calling it just an intentional foul and not ejecting or suspending Elston..
http://is.gd/kz3tx
http://is.gd/kz3BU

Even the writers for the IU Hoosiers are calling Elston a liar and agreeing it was a cheap, intentional foul..and that Crean ought to suspend Elston.
http://is.gd/kz3IN

What's worse is that coach Tom Crean is defending Elston and says he believes Elston's line that it was not on purpose -- so there'll be NO further discipline...

By the way -- here's where Derek Elston learned his tricky footwork...note the dance moves...
http://is.gd/kz3So

Indiana is bad this year -- and I cannot possibly see how most gurus and prognosticators did not see this...many claiming this would be a goo dyear for IU.
Most had IU as a middle of the pack Big Ten team this year and a shot at an NCAA bid but most certainly NIT.
But they are bad....really bad...their only wins are against horrible 300+ RPI cupcakes on their home floor.
They are 0-4 in the Big Ten but here's the worst part...
they have already played the easiest part of their conference schedule.

BUT -- of their 14 remaining Big Ten games, NINE of them are against the top 6 teams in the league, so it doesn't look promising.

Iowa's Marcus Paige verbals to UNC -- following Harrison Barnes..
http://is.gd/kz39C

Illinois was after him and really wanted him..

Now the other rapist at Saint Louis is re-admitted so he can play basketball for Rick Majerus..
...so both Kwamain Mitchell and Willie Reed are back and look to play again for the Billikens.
EVEN more proof.. that discipline is totally lacking when it comes to certain coaches and their desperate need for talent..

Want even more evidence?? After a close game where Kansas won in OT at home vs. Michigan -- Bill Self is a little panicked and has now reinstated Mario Little who had been suspended for his arrest on multiple crime charges..
http://is.gd/kz4uf

Did you see this?? I am shocked it didn't get more exposure....
It is an amazingly bigoted and racist sounding statement from Memphis head coach Josh Pastner..

"The kind of student athletes we have, the more
they have to think, they are going to be slower on
their feet. I like to keep things simple and not
overcomplicate things."

http://is.gd/kz4GH

In other words...he's saying they are great athletes but they are stupid and if they actually have to use their brains or think, then they become terrible players.

BTW -- Bruce Pearl is still working without a contract and may yet be canned...
http://is.gd/kz4TG

Of course Bruce is suffering sooo bad during his suspension...
http://is.gd/kz554

ISU's Kenyon Smith might still redshirt according to the tone of this ppiece...
and in the last game vs. SIU Austin Hill got a well deserved Technical Foul that some Redbird fans this was unfair....
but as badly as sophomore Justin Clark is playing and shooting...
it's too late to redshirt
http://is.gd/kz5tQ

Here's a story about a UConn player who has a bad game then tweets that he doesn't want to be at UConn...
Does this guy NOT KNOW his coach will soon hear about this ???
http://is.gd/kz5Lq

Bill Cole is the subject of this really nice, long article...he's quite a competitor and I am glad he's finally getting his chance and some recognition...
http://is.gd/kz61a

Here are a few clips...and there's also a little slam against SIU...
"It's no secret that Bill Cole has his doubters... It's been that way since he committed to Bruce Weber in December of 2005..

There have not been many Illinois players who have worked as hard as Cole during a four year career and yet, he doesn't seem to get the credit that he deserves from some stubborn members of Illini nation.

You can't say enough for a player who is willing to get his knees dirty these days. It seems that some of the grit is gone from the game and now we are trending towards finesse basketball. If you watch the NBA these days, how many guys are diving after loose balls? It's not as bad in college but you wonder where some of that competitive nature has gone."

And it does make a difference. Look at SIU's vaunted 2008 recruiting class which Chris Lowery, at the time, dubbed the best in Saluki history. Search for any one of the four members of the former ESPN top 25 class and you won't find a single name on the SIU roster due to transfers and dismissals.
"They weren't willing to do the work. That program, like ours, demands effort on both ends of the floor and sometimes players just don't buy into that type of system."

But Bill Cole bought in.

"I'll do whatever the coaches ask of me."

Finally a testament to how really jerkish fans can be ..
we all know Wichita State is the best team in the Valley getting votes for Top 25...every fan should be happy, right??
Nope..a bunch are grumbling about how badly he coached the end of the game vs. Missouri State and caused their loss..

What a bunch of ungrateful fans!!

The ACC is bad...
worse than they've been in a generation!

The ACC is being buoyed by a couple teams
(Duke RPI 5, UNC RPI 21..) but SIX of the ACC members have RPI's well over 100, and seven have horrible SOS's of well over 100-200's!!

Even a mid-major conference, the Mountain West ranks above the ACC in conference RPI!
http://is.gd/kz7ka

but never fear...they'll still get 6 or 7 bids come tourney time....

Non-sports...
just something for you to look up if interested...

Have you noticed how often "experts" use the carbon dating methods and claim the method is accurate and precise and valid?
But have you also ever noted how they never speak of using the technique for fossils and rocks...?
They claim the half-life of carbon-14 is too short relatively to be useful for long time periods...of course pre-supposing they're talking about millions of years..

But here's what you won't generally hear...
That if you DO use the carbon-14 technique on fossils, rocks, or even diamonds...all of which they claim are not only millions of years old, but even HUNDREDS of millions of years old...the results are quite amazing..
What you find is that all those things that should NOT have any carbon 14 left in them still do and thus date to only 60-70,000 years ago!
But how can that be?? They sometimes propose contamination but if you cut a diamond then how could any contamination get into the middle of a freshly cut diamond -- yet they still test as 60,000 years old!
So the "experts" choose to simply NOT talk about it and claim therefore, since we already know those items are older than 60,000 then we will presume there's an unknown phenomenon at play and so we simply won't ever cite ages on rocks, fossils, etc...via carbon dating...
in other words...just ignore it and hope nobody notices. Hmm...more great science at work!!

Some college basketball news, and a warming update...

Lawrence Boogie Wright had yet another tremendous game yesterday...
27 points, 10 rebounds...in his team's 80-71 victory...

And something really ominous has clearly happened to Osiris Eldridge. His numbers have dropped way, way off.
In Saturday's game in which his team Karsiyaka won 91-82, Osiris was scoreless...he went 0-2 with just 2 rebounds.

In the Big Ten, as badly as Northwestern had begun to play with John Shurna ailing...they still put a whupping on Indiana. Northwestern got up big in the first half and became the first team in many years to come into Indiana's Assembly Hall and score 93 points! Matt Roth got five minutes and hit one of his shots.
His career average is now tailing down to only about 5 ppg (2 ppg this year), and although he got 16 minutes per game as a freshman -- over the games of the past 2 years -- he's gotten only about 5 minutes per game and only played a total of only a little over 50 minutes total in the past two seasons and in his career is 36% from 3-pt.

EX-Bradley recruit Ryne Smith, who is a sophomore at Purdue, was just named the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week along with Jared Sullinger.

The nation's leading junior college scorer is...
Widget Washington...26.7 ppg for the same junior college Rashad Austin played for, Northeastern Junior College. He's also averaging 8.5 assists per game (4th nationally) and 3.2 steals (16th nationally)!
http://is.gd/kuEdT

Some might recall a teammate of Jereme Richmond at Waukegan named Quon Conner. Conner is also among the nation's junior college scoring leaders with 19.1 ppg at Kaskaskia.

Among junior college players who have attempted more than two 3-pt shots...
D'Mitri Riggs is the leader nationally hitting 33-57 at Wabash Valley, 58%!!

Non-sports...
Like I have been saying --a day doesn't go by without more proof that the global warming promoters were all wrong...
Count this global warming thing as yet another argument that we sensible and intelligent human have won...

Now even most of the far lefters, liberals, and global warming worshippers have given up and stopped using the term "global warming".
Wonder why -- because they now admit they were all wrong and the world is NOT warming...they instead are using terms like "climate change" and "weather catastrophe".

And why is all this happening?? Because they made so much money and benefitted so much with their global warming fraud, that they are trying like he** to salvage any respectability that might be left so they can jump on the next bandwagon and champion some new cause.

Don't be surprised if they try to champion global cooling -- seriously!!

December in Illinois was 5.8 degrees colder per day than average and was the 12th coldest December since records have been kept over the last 130 years.
http://is.gd/kuzCE

Of course England has their coldest December in more than 100 years, and in some places temperature records have been kept for almost 400 years and it was the coldest December in history...maybe the coldest in 1000 years!!
http://is.gd/kuzOj
http://is.gd/kjpNi

Northern Ireland also had the coldest December in all of history.
http://is.gd/kuA37

All along the southeast from Jacksonville, FL to Cape Hatteras, SC it was the coldest December they have ever recorded.
http://is.gd/kuAaE

And it goes on an on...reports from Oregon, California, Germany, China, even Antarctica all reporting not just cold temperatures, but the coldest record temperatures in 100 years!!
Here are some examples -- I have not converted these to links..just cut and paste URL's......

http://www.livescience.com/environment/coldest-temperature-antarctica-100113.html

Oh -- but I have heard it is only happening in the northern hemisphere....yeah....sure...
I guess they don't bother to look -- it's happening everywhere.....
Australia has just had one of it's coldest and wettest summers in decades!!!
http://is.gd/kuAWj

And even deadly COLD temperatures in South America!!
http://is.gd/kuB5g

Cannot deny it -- no matter what the warmers keep saying...2010 was NOT one of the hottest years worldwide -- it was a surprisingly cold year all over...but I guess those warmers keep hand picking only the precise data they need to pick to prove their point, but we're on to them.
They are lying and using bogus data...and anyone with a thermometer knows the truth!

Hmmm...I can always know when others are talking about this blog or citing it because there are stats kept showing where all the hits come from, and precisely what pages there are links to this blog.
So it stumps me that people criticize yet cannot disprove anything said. One guy even claimed he got all riled up about the WNBA piece on this blog. As if I said anything at all that all those other sources I linked to did not say??
Go back and read it -- it's just a few facts already well documented elsewhere about how much of a terrible failure the WNBA is, how it would have all folded years ago had not the NBA kept pumping money into it, and how the stuff reported in the press suggesting that it's a success when supposedly one franchise made a profit for the first time in a couple decades (when they certainly did not if anyone actually checked the facts).
So in reality, the entry is not really about the WNBA as much as it is about how the media has bought so many lies about it and misrepresented it at the leading of the false press releases from the WNBA.
