Ex- Illinois State basketball assistant, Mike Williams - who just had a DUI was just canned at Purdue

SIU recruit Josh Swan has already submitted his LOI to Carbondale -- the 6' 2" guard is from Atlanta, GA.
DePaul got their LOI on Charles McKinney.
Did you see this -- pretty surprising it is getting almost NO media coverage...
If you or I had used this language we'd be hammered by the media and forced to resign or step down!!
Kobe Bryant throws a full tantrum then uses a ..
"HOMOPHOBIC SLUR"....So someone tell me why he isn't held to the same standard other people are....
Many TV people and political people have had their entire careers TRASHED for using words far, far less offensive than this...yet Kobe can rape young women and use these words and it barely gets a press mention...
http://www.tmz.com/2011/04/13/kobe-bryant-homophic-slur-during-nba-game/
Speaking of slurs -- Ohio State's Jared Sullinger has made some of his tweet messages known...and there sure are some really stoopid, racist idiots out there who display their ignorance..with hate mail and racial slurs...

But I suppose these are both better than one racist California commentator who recently described college basketball as..
"ritualized tribal warfare"
...on that same topic -- some Italian pro basketball players and fans have devised an odd way to protest racism in sports....they are going to do the very thing that here in the US IS considered very racist -- they are going to paint their faces BLACK...

One men's college basketball coach tried using racism as an argument to get his job back and file a lawsuit -- but he just lost...

One premium site talks about all the local and Illinois recruits....here's just a few quotes on Peoria area kids...
"Pekin's Nathan Taphorn - Wolves - At 6-foot-6 and rail thin, the Pekin native doesn't look like a player, but then the game starts and he knocks down shots, scores inside, battles bigger players and shows off his full arsenal. Probably as underrated and unknown as any player in the 2013 class, Taphorn has some nice potential. He has a high skill level.
Illinois Wolves guard AJ Riley from Peoria Manual is a warrior. He comes off the bench and brings new energy every time and really gets after people on defense. He also handled the ball well and although he didn't score a lot he showed very well.
Champaign Central 6-foot-5 forward Xavier Martin is a lot like Wolves 17U player Jacoby Roddy. He has a great motor and is really the only inside presence the Wolves have right now."
There's even more -- lots of great stuff but it's all premium -- so PM me...
The NBA summer league is cancelled....bet you didn't even notice...

Here's a story of a juco coach who thwarts a robbery on campus...kudos!!!

Northwestern just landed two European kids....

Ex Bradley recruit Robert Goff stays with his Oklahoma verbal despite the coaching change...
Derrick Chievous -- another BU recruit, is getting very little current inerest due to grades -- the lack of offers means he'll probably go juco...
Ex-BU recruit Jamari Traylor now possibly leaning towards the home of the bad boys.....Oklahoma State?
Minnesota steals an ISU recruit - a kid they were kinda high on...
http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/119606099.html
Bruce Pearl is being rumored to possibly be the next head coach at Northern Kentucky University (D-II)???
Could this reflect recruiting violations??
http://www.gocyclones.com/news.php?ID=3959
it is a frank admission that this guy was helping Iowa State with recruiting before he was ever hired on staff there!!
Besides the fact that Iowa State continues to set records with their number of transfers, this comment is a rather strange admission...
Fred Hoiberg officially hired a new assistant coach Matt Abdelmassih. But here is what the article says-
"Abdelmassih worked with Hoiberg with the Minnesota Timberwolves before joining Hoiberg in Ames. Abdelmassih was a Timberwolves basketball operations intern in 2008 before being promoted to basketball operations assistant.
He also played a role in ISU landing forward Royce White and guard Tavon Sledge when he briefly served in a recruiting role when Hoiberg was first hired."
(before the guy was on staff at Iowa State)
So, even though Abdelmassih was never an assistant coach under Hoiberg before yesterday, somehow he "played a role" in landing a couple recruits/transfers last year, and "served in a recruiting role when Hoiberg was first hired". How is this possible? The NCAA rules allow for only the head coach and his 3 named assistants to recruit for the school. This sounds like some kind of violation.
Here's more on the Slam TOP 500...
They are heavy on the recent players and there's a lot of room for disagreement...and how players like Corey Maggette and Swen Nater even make this list is puzzling -- given that Gail Goodrich and Steve Kerr are left off....

One last tidbit...are you sick and tired of people telling you how much they are victims of bias?? I sure am -- so the next time someone tells you that women never earn as much as men do because of discrimination and bias - then throw this at them...
Instead of quoting noN-existent blather -- this is a very well done study that proves just exactly the opposite...that in almost every commonly hired job -- women earn at least as much as men and in many cases MORE.
read it and weep libbers --

Unfortunately most claims of bias compare apples to oranges...
they compare the yearly wages a man might get in a certain position with the wages a woman might get who is a DIFFERENT position or who takes off 3 months in that year to have a baby...... Geez...get serious -- stop comparing apples and oranges -- or a better comparison is apples to 3/4 of an orange!
