Cuonzo Martin Cheats!! ..and lots more news........

Cuonzo Martin cheats?? Well... you decide...the press in Springfield, MO would have never found nor published it.... it took the skeptical press from Tennessee to dig this one out...

Cuonzo has had a couple of recruiting violations while at Missouri State.....but he'll have to do far, far more than this to fit in at Tennessee!!!

Here's a guy who hints that Bruce Weber would have taken the Bradley coaching position!!
"He would have taken OU if offered. He might have taken Bradley if offered."

Here's a photo barrage that pokes fun at Purdue and Indiana for being way behind Butler in prestige...

A recruiting tidbit and more...

Ex-BU recruit Chris Colvin visiting Arizona State, South Carolina, Providence..

There's a rumor that Maryland's Gary Williams is trying to torpedo the coaching search at NC State...
-- calling prospective candidates and lobbying them in a negative fashion...

There is a little oddity in the ACC hiring history...

"Since the two-week period in which Krzyzewski and Valvano entered the league (1980)
.. ACC schools have hired 28 new head coaches.

Only four - Cremins, North Carolina's Roy Williams, Maryland's Gary Williams and Wake Forest's Dave Odom - have been able to win 90 or more conference regular-season games.

Even Cremins, whose first two Tech teams were severely undermanned, didn't leave with a winning record in league regular-season games.

Six of the 28 coaches, including newcomers Steve Donahue at Boston College and Jeff Bzdelik of Wake Forest, did not or have not received an NCAA bid.

Only seven of the 28 took their teams to more than four NCAA tournaments.

"You hope as an athletic director that every hire turns out to be a great one, but that's not an easy goal to reach," ACC commissioner John Swofford said recently.

Including Valvano and Krzyzewski, the only new ACC coaches since 1980 without collegiate head coaching exposure were Lowe, Bob Wade (Maryland in 1986), Jeff Jones (Virginia, 1990), Bill Guthridge (North Carolina, 1997) and Frank Haith (Miami, 2004).

Lowe had been an NBA coach. Wade had been a big winner at the high school level. Haith, Guthridge and Jones had been longtime college assistants."

One of the Missouri Valley's all time best has passed away...

The completely discredited Duke lacrosse accuser is in deep doo-doo again...
She has been arrested once again for stabbing yet another "boyfriend"...

She has had prior arrests for attacking other "boyfriends" and threatening to torch the home where another "boyfriend" and even her own child lived...

This lady is a sad specimen and it is frankly amazing that much of the national press stood up for her even in the absence of evidence when she cried "rape"..

and interesting how those women's rights groups are running and hiding now and staying out of the press --

More on how things came to be......

The general theory of where the earth came from is that it formed from interstellar dust that was there and left over from the creation of our sun and solar system...then, added to that are the elements that are subsequently deposited on earth by comets and meteors that strike here and further little particulates that are gravitationally attracted to then land on earth.

You can search all of science and you will find little more than this theory to explain where all the matter and elements on earth come from...

But let's check some other science.
You know that cometary dust has been caught and examined...

here are but a few such studies..

this one shows comets would bring silicon, iron, magnesium
http://is.gd/XbpdLg

Other studies says sodium and a few other minerals as well...and at most a tiny trace of carbon or water -- but so little it causes those who once thought the amounts from comets was a significant contributor to earth's water to completely rethink that - see yesterday's blog.
http://is.gd/popi0J

And you can look at many others and only a few elements are present but virtually NO carbon or oxygen..although those elements are prevalent in the universe -- just not on objects coming to earth...
and those elements are NOT in abundance on other planets --- which is why there's never going to be any life there!

Other studies of interplanetary dust mention exceedingly small amounts of several minerals from sulfur to nickel, to bromium but little carbon or oxygen.
And we all know meteors are mostly rocks, iron, and nickel..again practically devoid of carbon and oxygen...

So it begs the question -- if science is hard pressed to find one single source out there, dust, comets, meteors, etc...for all the oxygen & carbon here on earth
-- -- then how did it get on earth? Did it just start here right form the beginning like the guy yesterday said water did??

Obviously without it we wouldn't be asking this question because we wouldn't be here. But the presence of gobs of carbon (the 6th most abundant element on earth) and oxygen (third most abundant element) differentiates earth from Mercury, Venus, Mars, and all other planets....that makes earth a pretty special place and nobody seems to quite have an answer for why??
