Some recruiting notes

A whole bunch of interesting tweets from Illinois Wolves AAU coach Mike Mullins, one of the most highly respected guy in the business, and a truly great advisor to many of the kids who play for him...
some of Mullins' players include Sam Maniscalco, Evan Turner, Demitri McCamey, Carlton Fay, and his son Bryan Mullins.

But in the midst of the hottest recruiting period, Mike Mullins sends out five tweet......
and they obviously express his displeasure with one or more college coaches who have not been fair and honest with his kids...

Here are the tweets from just this morning and a workout was scheduled with some of his AAU kids...(by the way, Bradley has already been to see his kids and we've offered Jacob Williams, Frank Kaminsky, and David Sobolewski).

--"Not a big suprise in a relationship business the schools who are diligent about recruiting tend to be the ones who get the players and win"

-"Had a player have a 6am workout requested and the schools who asked for it dont show and dont call!"

--"Love the schools who burn bridges and try the end run to avoid me-If u werent hiding anything why so nervous?"

--"Same coaches who preach family values and dump the kids and school in the middle of night for new family and kids over $-strong character!"

--"Basic humanity 101-How u treat people always comes back -good and bad"

Nice to see such a great AAU coach and role model, playing fair and standing up for his kids...as compared to all the sleazy AAU-recruiter stories we have heard!



Interesting that no announcements officially has yet been made about many the juco kids that have recently verbaled to SIU...could those official announcements be pending the departure of the guys who currently hold the scholarships??

There is a ceremony at Mamadou Seck's juco today so I think he's signing.



Indiana's Tom Crean still out there shaking the bushes and turning over every stone in search of a big man...NO MATTER how obscure!!
Gotta wonder how patient or how desperate John Wilkins must be that he's still waiting for Crean to ask everyone else first and be shot down before turning the offer to Wilkins??

Some of the IU fans are beginning to realize how demeaning it is and humbling that so many 2-Star and 3-Star kids are turning Indiana down...
