Some news on recruits...

Dave Reynolds has another column on recruiting --
http://www.pjstar.com/sports/sportscolumns/x909200071/Reynolds-New-look-staff-on-the-road-for-BU

...and it's not so much notable for the names that ARE included, as for the name not included. But since I doubt those names come from Coach Les and more likely just stuff the reporter recalls, then I am still not too worried about it...
The list DR has of 2011 "grads" reads like the page off the Bradleyfans.com recruiting forum...

One other local recruit, a juco kid, Kiel Turpin, wasn't mentioned as juco kids are not playing in any events right now...but there is some really sad and unfortunate news related to Kiel...his father just died...

Here is the Bradleyfans discussion on Kiel Turpin -

Here is a brand new premium article from the Creighton-Rivals site about the Bluejays' recent offer to Justin Gant..

--a few clips...
"According a report out in Indianapolis, Creighton has recently offered 2011 power forward Justin Gant of Terre Haute, Indiana.
The 6'8 Gant plays with Spiece Select 2011 this summer and Creighton's assistant coach Steve Lutz was present to see him play this week in Indianapolis."

One ex-BU recruit, Tyler Les is, of course headed to UC-Davis...and they just released their non-conference and conference schedule...
So we are finally seeing schools post their full schedules!!
Looks like they only rarely leave the west coast...the closest they come to Illinois is traveling to Fargo, North Dakota.

The Jamaican National team has finally gotten to play its 2nd game in the Centro Basketball Tournament involving the Caribbean nations as a qualifier for Olympic spots in 2012.
The games were suspended Wednesday due to slippery conditions on the floor from condensation.
Jamaica won handily over the British Virgin Islands, one of the stronger teams in the tourney..
The final was 71-56 and ex-Bradley Brave Jason Faulknor played 16 minutes, and contributed just 1 pt and 3 rebs, as well as a steal.
Akeem Scott, Kimani Friend, and Garfield Blair were Jamaica's best scorers at 21, 14, 10 pts respectively.
Nice to see some of the ex-Braves playing in internaitonal competition and overseas.

In yesterday's NBA summer league games, none of the MVC players are making much news...
Eldridge will be playing in Las Vegas with Portland and Eglseder will be with Detroit.
In Orlando, Adam Koch is putting up modest numbers only for Indiana.
Luke Harangody had another game with 23 points, kinda putting some of his detractors' criticism to rest!

and -- to the guy who posted that Blake Mishler was a junior - try checking it out...
he's a 5th year SENIOR!!
Also - an (ISU) Vidette article claims John Wilkins is now 6-10...whew....the guy keeps growing!!
I find it intriguing that after not playing basketball for nearly 3 years...John Wilkins has still decided to take a summer-long vacation and head over to Europe...he's still not expected back on ISU's campus until late summer.

ABOUT TO BE ANNOUNCED --
Chicago State University has finally hired a new head coach...and they've done well this time...
Tracy Dildy...a guy who is a long time basketball guy in the Chicago area, familiar with the AAU circuit and the high school coaches.
Dildy has been an assistant coach at DePaul, Auburn, Ball State, and most recently with Jimmy Collins at UIC. He played college ball at UIC.

As always...this site will remain LeBron-free....
btw-- the Cavs' owner has som einteresting and pretty strong words about James posted on the Cavs' official site..

So - just how bad will these guys get trashed and their legacy smeared if they flop and fail to win it all!!
