A bunch of one line items...
Jesse Jackson is a low, golddigger opportunist for trying to ply this whole LeBron thing into an ugly racist issue.

So is Chet Walker...I really lose a lot of respect for him after this.

Osiris Eldridge went to Las Vegas to play in the NBA Summer League with the Portland team, but was relegated to the bench.
He obviously got to Vegas a couple days ago - so it's odd that he was benched...

Osiris did make one team for sure...the All Name team...

Here's a report that'll come as absolutely NO surprise to any Bradley fan (or SIU fan either!).
Ex-SIU Saluki Anthony Booker has now transferred to Iowa State and is playing in their Capital City League summer basketball league.
He has his debut last night and here's the report...
"Southern Illinois transfer Anthony Booker played on that same Tim Vorland Photography squad last night. Booker struggled mightily from the floor, shooting 4-for-15 on the night"
...get used to it Cyclone fans...
Nice to see that World cup ref Koman Coulibaly was rightfully called out and canned.
http://blogs.bettor.com/FIFA-World-Cup-2010-Controversial-Refereeing-Decisions-a16050
If this is the best refereeing they can come up with for a tournament of this magnitude, then it's truly a sorry state that nearly half the games hinged on controversial calls that were, in large part WRONG calls and travesties of the game.
They also need to find a way to avoid the missed goals and the flagrant spikes to the chest...

Dana Altman has built himself a legacy, and his very name has become synonymous with guys who reneg on a promotion to a better job!!

Ex-Creighton Bluejay P'Allen Stinnett has explored about a million options since being booted out of Omaha....
Sad thing for P'Allen, though, is that every team he's contacted has said they don't want him... - they'd have to commit two years of scholarship just to get an under-performing, showboat, team-chemistry-wrecker for a single year of eligibility!
Now with few options, P'Allen is exploring just going overseas an pro ball - but he's not getting a lot of nibbles.
He kinda shot himself in the foot and his entire team with his antics.
A story about one of the Wichita recruits, juco Ehimen Orukpe...
http://www.kansas.com/2010/07/11/1399238/orukpes-long-journey-finally-ends.html
That column above says Wichita State still needs THREE "guarantee games" to complete their schedule and can't finalize them!
Plus -- it says only 90% of their season ticket holders re-upped. Wonder what's causing 10% to flush their season tix??
Drake's starting PG Frank Wiseler was said to have a "sliced Achilles tendon" and will be out at least 6 month...that almost makes the argument he could miss the entire season.
DePaul has finally given recruit Walter Pitchford his release...and Pitchford already has numerous other offers and is leaning towards Memphis.

Missouri State folks finally completed the long awaited upgrade of their message board and got rid of that horribly dark black & Maroon color scheme..

Here's a story about juco senior Wayne Runnels at Creighton...
He averaged 4 ppg, 3 rpg last year.

Congrats to the Chicago White Sox & Ozzie Guillen for landing in FIRST place at the all Star break, when just one month ago they were near last place, almost a dozen games under .500 and nearly 10 games out of 1st place..
