More on Massive Mike, BU has 10-day layoff, and news from around the Valley!

New story up on bubraves.com about Massive Mike Williams...
http://www.bradleybraves.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=3400&ATCLID=205053628

Next Bradley game is 10 days away -- let's hope all BU fans make it without melting down!!

Here's some more news from the Valley......

SIU news.....
Here's a story about one of the SIU assistant coaches, and how he is battling a serious illness.....
....Lance Irvin ...best wishes on complete recovery!
http://www.illinihq.com/news/print/2010/11/13/irvins_fight_hits_home_for_salukis_and_illini

BTW -- more SIU news, transfer Diamond Taylor will become eligible and will apparently play his first game on Dec. 22.
Recall, there were SIU fans arguing and insisting that since he never played a single game at Wisconsin, that he'd be eligible right away at SIU and would NOT have to sit until 2nd semester..but they were, obviously, wrong.

Creighton news...
Creighton will be retiring Bob Harstad's number at their game Saturday...
http://creighton.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1163425

Bob Harstad had some pretty strong numbers in his four year Creighton career...
2110 career points, 734 on one season 89-90
His career averages -- 16.5 ppg, 8.8 reb
His 2110 career points only 6 points shy of Rodney Buford's all time record total at CU
His career rebs are 2nd only to Bluejay great, Paul Silas

More Creighton news....
P'Allen Stinnett is now back and is now "starting point guard" at Missouri Western..
http://www.newspressnow.com/missouri-western-sports/26041977/detail.html

In his 1st game back Wednesday, a loss to Missouri Southern 85-71, P'Allen was 4-12, 12 pts, 4 rebs, 1 asst, 8 turnovers -- OUCH!!

Ohio State's Jared Sullinger went for 40 points and 13 rebounds last night....but....
Ohio State still was tied at half and ended up barely beating IUPUI!!
And here's why I think Ohio State will have trouble winning the Big Ten.
they don't use any subs and they will have to deal with fatigue and injury down the road.....
Last night four of the starting players go 35 minutes or more..and only 7 players total played, the only two subs totaled 8 & 9 min - that's all.
This will wipe them out if they're doing it now against softie non-conference foes!

BTW-- Chicagoan Lenzelle Smith must regret his choice..21 minutes of action thus far in 7 games..despite several games being blowouts by as much 40 pts. He's gotta be unhappy he's not playing!

Here's a simple thought...
..if you were only 17 years old & going to smoke something from a bong wouldn't you be sure nobody was taking video of you?
