Sports Illustrated surveyed 400 Major League baseball players and asked which stadium was their favorite to play in. The answers were widely varied with every stadium getting at least a few votes except the Minneaplis Metrodome, which got NO VOTES. Time to replace it...

Bryan Mullins' French pro team lost their exhibition yesterday to Chalon 90-87 in OT, with Bryan getting 13 pts, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and NO turnovers, playing while injured.

Ex-Manual star Brandun Hughes, who always had the talent to be a fine D-I player, but who never had the academics, is doing fine in Europe.
Brandun never made it to D-I despite plenty of opportunities, and ended up playing only one season at Southern Indiana in 1999-2000 (for then head coach Bruce Pearl), averaging 13.3 ppg and hitting 43.4% of 135 3-pt attempts.
Brandun just signed a nice deal with the Polish team Polonia...he is one of the Polish league's best scorers.

Many of you have been seeing the Chicago Examiner's writer Joe Book, who is doing the Bradley Braves Examiner.
http://www.examiner.com/x-7020-Bradley-Braves-Examiner

and there used to also be an Illinois State Redbirds Examiner tho he never touched much on basketball....and here are a few of his old blog entries...(but you now have to do a search to find the Redbird Examiner), and the most recent entry is August 18.
http://www.examiner.com/x-15208-Illinois-State-Redbirds-Examiner

but suddenly the Redbird Examiner is gone from the index, and no longer has a listing or a link on any Examiner page:
http://www.examiner.com/Chicago-Sports_Examiners.html

and seen here on the bottom right:
http://www.examiner.com/Chicago-Sports.html

The only conclusion is that he failed to pay his bills...he has been dropped from the list of Examiner writers!

Bradley will have their ups and downs I'm sure....we've had injuries and off-the-court issues, but I like the mix of players we have, the size, the aggressiveness, the work ethic.
Can't wait for the season to start...under 40 days!
