Update on some various stuff from the past week or two......

Here' a few tidbits that have been up and available on the private site for several days -- some even up to a week -- so you can see what you're missing .........

--A bummer for Cuonzo Martin's new players at Tennessee... They are canceling their summer foreign tour to Italy! Cuonzo's explanation is that he wants to get to know his players better before competing & also Cuonzo has other things to do this summer.
Cuonzo also will be tied up coaching the World University Games in China in August -

--LONG TIME Bradley basketball secretary Patty Reck has also just been let go - sorry to see her gone - her pick & bio are now removed from the BU basketball site -- just a little more fallout...

--Marcellus Sommerville's Paris Levallois team is in the playoffs...but - final game of the regular season Cellus was only able to play 5 minutes...as he was hit hard in the ankle & left the game-but had 6pts already! They won easily 94-66 & Cellus was expected back to start the playoffs. However -- they lost their first playoff game as Cellus was unable to get back just yet due to the injury.

--Going from the frying pan to the fire? 2 defendants in the point shaving scandal at San Diego -now arrested for robbery!

--One current and one former Larry Eustachy player at Southern Miss were arrested and dismissed..plus....Dodson was also a troublemaker at Kentucky under Calipari...used to be Top-40, 4-Star...but veered off path..

That's what happens when you take in a ton of malcontents and transfers -- as Fred Hoiberg is finding out at Iowa State.

--FGCU lands a couple good recruits ..
http://is.gd/67gOJ8

--Dick Versace is new to the twitter world and is now tweeting -- this could get funny --

--20 years!!! Twenty full years....that's how long it's been since the last Peoria Manual High School player played for Bradley!
Curtis Stuckey and Tom Wilson both played up thru 1991.
I'd love to see a few of those talented Manual kids check out BU and give some consideration ...look what it did for BU's Bobby Humbles -
He became a star, a local hero -- and he's benefited in business from the name recognition ever since...

--Michael Ochereobia tweets that he is headed back to England when his juco classes are done..

--Yet another ISU Redbird thread degenerates into posters bashing their own team's scheduling -
Apparently their horrid scheduling is totally by design...Jank wants it that way to rack up career win totals!!
Now there are several threads ripping on the scheduling......

--There's a new interview with Jank and some other MVC coaches -- all the rest say scheduling is the hardest part of the job - but important to get it right

--Jank stands by his belief he will NEVER go on the road to play a top team unless he can get a return game...He gives up chances to improve their horrible schedule just to stick with his stand on this...yet Ind.State's Greg Lansing thinks different!
Lansing says this... "Lansing .. begged to differ with Jankovich.... “My feeling is that you have to do anything to play them”
Lansing argued. “We played Notre Dame and Purdue last season and we don’t expect them to come to our place. ...
....It’s the only thing we can do in our position because the BCS schools are afraid to play us at home.”

--SIU booted guard Brandon Wood to open up playing time for since-dpearted Kevin Dillard, now Wood has blossomed into a fine player at Valpo.
Brandon Wood is being courted by Michigan, MSU, Purdue, and other big schools.... He surely has the last laugh on Saluki fans who dissed him...
and since Dillard also never paid off and is gone - Chris Lowery has egg on his face as well -- here's more -

--New, updated juco player rankings -
http://www.jucorecruiting.com/?page_id=434

- but a lot of omissions -- surely Paris Gulley is top 100

--Dave Reynolds gets inducted in another Hall of Fame -- which one?? Check it out...

--Coach Mo at WIU has a lot of things happening comings and goings.
His top 7 players missed major time due to injury this past year and it really hurt. Anyone who says you can't use injuries as an excuse and that you ought to be able to win anyway is a bozo --
WIU's best player and preseason 1st Teamer missed the whole season.

But Mo has a sent a few players (three) packing who were bad attitudes....Smith, Niang, Okafor...
Mo is one who won't see the lust for the talent ahead of the desire to see these young men behave and act responsibly -- so you're gone if you're going to be a jerk.

BUT Mo has some talent coming in to go with all the returning kids who missed time with injury.

Terrel Parks, 6-7 fwd from Iowa Central CC is a juco 1st Team All American --
just signed with WIU...

Also -- Incoming WIU freshman next fall - Obi Emegano led his Oklahoma team to the Class 6A (largest class) STATE TITLE this past spring.
Emegano also earned MVP of the tourney - he is from Edmond, OK - same home town as departed BU frosh Andrew Davis.

And I strongly suspect Coach Mo's youngest son, David, who is graduating from Peoria Notre Dame - will also join him at WIU.
One other incoming kid Remy Roberts-Burnett is a fine PG out of Joliet -

That's four fresh faces and some considerable talent....so here's hoping Coach Mo does a lot better this coming season.

BTW -- I am hearing that by this time tomorrow -- Coach Les will be HC at UCD -- not confirmed...

ALL of these stories and many more on Geno, recruiting and possible recruiting targets, and more have been up and available for a week so get in touch and get on board -- you have to contact me personally so I know who is requesting....but it is not subscription......
