Some early stats on Michael Ochereobia and lots more as the college basketball season heats up!

In his very first junior college game, Highland CC freshman Michael Ochereobia started and played well against South Suburban College...
he scored 7 pts on 2-3 from the floor and 3-3 from the FT line, and Big Mike (not our Big Mike on BF's .. ;)) - grabbed 6 rebounds as most of his Highland teammates had bad games...and Highland CC lost 83-73, and South Suburban's Sultan Muhammad was 7-11 from 3pt range-- something MO had llittle to do with!

Future BU opponent Texas A&M-Kingsville plays UTEP tomorrow night.

Even before the first tipoff of the season, Rivals is predicting the entire full field of 68 teams that are going to be in the NCAA Tournament..
They have two Valley teams, Wichita State at a 7th seed, and Missouri State at a 12th seed.

Remember the ridiculously inept, irresponsible, and bumbling way in which John Wilkins' lawsuit in Iowa vs. the NJCAA was handled...
The judges had a legitimate backlog because they didn't want to work without their full pay and the State of Iowa was having budget shortfalls. Here's a little of that discussion...

Well, even though this hasn't gotten a lot of press, and it isn't directly realted to the John Wilkins case - but has to do with the voter dissatisfaction in how the judges are performing, the people in Iowa have spoken and have decided they don't like the way the Iowa judges and courts are handling cases, and they voted OUT the three top judges in the state all at the same time -- which is totally unprecedented...
The people have spoken and just maybe the judges should stop looking only at their own wants and needs, and should stop jamming ridiculously unpopular political ideas down people's throats, or they'll be out of a job!

Of course we all know what the Big East's push to get more teams in really means -- they clearly desire weak football schools like Houston or Central Florida (or TCU) to schools like DePaul or marquette that do not have football.
So where is that going to leave Marquette & DePaul?? And maybe Villanova?? --likely looking for another conference soon -- so the Valley hopefully is paying attention to all this!

More exhibition scores..
UIC played UIS (Illinois-Springfield) -- and UIC won 80-53, but the bigger question is how come UIS senior Ryan Thornton isn't playing for new head coach Ben Wierzba??
He's still listed on the roster, but wasn't even named in the box score.
Injured?? Gone??

Miami beat Barry 102-33...just how valuable can a 69 point blowout be??
FIU beat Webber 83-62 - Alex Legion is NOT eligible until 2nd semester for isiah Thomas

New Mexico beat Eastern New Mexico 80-58

Indiana over Franklin 89-37
...Watford 25, Creek 16, Matt Roth 15 minutes, 1-2 3 pts, 1 reb, 1 asst
..center Guy Marc Michel did not play - his eligibility is being disputed by NCAA because of participation on French pro teams, and it's the exact same situation as John Wilkins -- let's see if they treat the player the same given that this kid is at Indiana instead of BU...

You know, the interesting part of this news, is that this kid just completed TWO full years of junior college ball...
and yet it is being revealed that he has the exact same profesional background as John Wilkins, having played as a junior on the senior pro teams in France...

So it clearly begs the quesiton -- how was the NJCAA so incredibly stupid as to not know that?? Or did they know it and yet go ahead and allow Michel to play his full two years of junior college anyway?? Either answer shows an inconsistency or corruption that is evident when they totally denied John Wilkins junior college eligibility and cost him and entire full year!
this exposes the NJCAA as capricious and arbitrary in how they levy their penalties and questions their motives in hammering Wilkins so hard ..

Anyway -- the fact that Tom Creanheld Michel out of this exhibition means he knows the kid is ineligible and will likely be docked games as John Wilkins was....but the real quesiton is how was he cleared to play junior college ball given their ruling on Wilkins?
I have little regard for the NJCAA and it's ruling agents when they make these petty, unfair, and obviously crooked ruling that hurt kids' lives and futures.

Florida over Georgetown College 88-62

Florida St. over Rollins 95-74

Tennessee over Brevard 91-42

Auburn beat Western Alabama 79-66

George Mason beat Bowie State 113-76

ISU had an open intrasquad scrimmage -- here's the report..

Memo to any friends of the renegade guy -- if you can even read the latest rants and babble -- and I do mean babble that's so incessantly bizarre and unreadable that it begs the question just who would have the time to waste or desire to punish himself enough to read all this on a basketball web site??
-- someone get the guy some help -- he's in truly deep need of it.
I do agree with at least one tiny line he writes..."Most blogs suck"...
..and one of his own very words is the most profound truth in all of this..
"Olbermaniacal"...

Ratings are in and among the major news channels on election night -- msnbc was way, way behind everyone else with by far the fewest viewrs and worst ratings...wonder why...
