Astounding lies being spewed by ESPN in defense of the cheating at Miami and elsewhere!!
I just watched one of the Sunday morning ESPN talking heads shows...they were discussing the Miami scandal -- and I heard a few outrageous comments that prove beyond question some of the things NCAA and the BCS schools have denied for years..
-first the whole panel openly agreed that the biggest reason the top recruits go to a place like Miami is BECAUSE they know they're going to get plenty of perks & freebies they wouldn't get elsewhere -- that every top recruit already knows this and likely so does the NCAA.
In other words the cheating clearly pays off because that's why the top players go there!
So if this is true as these ex-insiders in college sports are openly saying then why is the NCAA only NOW acting like they care - and only after the bloggers on YahooSports! expose them?
-One other insider said "the system is broke"...
Really?? You idiots are blaming this on "the system" -- why not just blame it on SEMO??
Nope the blame is on those who cheat and break the rules and on those whose job it is to catch them and
who are ignoring and looking the other way for greed's sake.
The system is NOT broke -- what's broke is the enforcement of the rules that constitute the system.
-then this asinine comment --that if the NCAA actually went after all the cheaters and really did penalize them...
the BCS Championship game would feature Harvard vs. Yale!!
First -- that's silly, there are lots of fine programs that don't cheat like these BCS guys do -- but even if the BCS title game was Harvard vs. Bradley then I say good for them -- they earned their way there legally and deserve to be in the title game!
Why is the mindset of those bozos in the media and at NCAA that it HAS TO BE the big guys like Miami or Oregon that make it to the BCS title game every year -- it has to be or else the world will come to an end!
Do they not know about the NCAA Final Four of 2011?? That two completely unexpected mid-majors made it there and
yet the ratings and the revenue generated were a near-all-time high!
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/05/sports/ncaabasketball/05sandomir.html
The NCAA distributed $452,200,00 in revenue in 2010-2011!!!!!!! An all time record high!!!

These guys are flat out lying and are in the tank for the crooks and the cheating BCS boys --
and they are wrong on all of their assertions trying to defend the cheaters.
Everyone knows ESPN makes tons of money on these very sports they are discussing -- and now we can see the bias they exert to protect their cash-cow. But someone has to speak the truth......
