Lawyers are going to be busy for a while...

And so is the NCAA...read on....

First -- the Bruce Pearl fiasco...
Not only are there more and more legitimate calls for Pearl to step down...

But there's also some really odd things happening....including this story...
Remember the University banned all the Tennessee basketball coaches and assistants from off-campus recruiting??
Well, I guess they don't really take this seriously -- as top Tennessee assistant Steve Forbes was out on the recruiting trail yesterday, and for at least several hours was actively recruiting off campus at a Memphis high school!

Tennessee coaches are tempting NCAA's ire by still recruiting and ignoring the ban!!

Dana Altman is slipping deeper into a horribly messy situation by the hour...
now there are well grounded revelations that University of Oregon has discovered solid evidence that at least three of their players were offered or paid money while players on the roster at Oregon - but here's the clincher -- they were being lured by an agent to help get them OUT OF OREGON and to somewhere else or to the pros!

"A source with knowledge of the situation ...said...that an anonymous email, urging the UO athletic department to look into possible violations by Michael Dunigan, Matt Humphrey, and Josh Crittle, was received by athletic department staff on August 2nd. According to the source, the email referred to dealings by a sports agent who had been talking with Dunigan, who was still on Oregon's roster.
The source also says the interaction between the agent and Dunigan also went so far as money being promised to Dunigan and his mother. In addition, the agent also attempted to "package" Dunigan, Crittle, and Humphrey to get them out of the Oregon program and to the "best program possible."

More being trickled out in the Eric Bledsoe case suggests a lot of cheating went on there as well.....but trust the lawyers involved to serve themselves first and the truth last...

And remember, when it was Kansas and Darrel Arthur's grades being altered and academic fraud being committed, the NCAA conveniently ignored it all and looked the other way!

Here's a laughably weak effort to defend Calipari -- comparing him to the poor, innocent Duke rape defendants...

UConn running up millions of dollars in legal expenses trying to find a way to wiggle out of all their lies and cheating...
They are maintaining their innocence and NOT self-imposing -- but they ought to look around them and wake up.....

Shaquille O'Neal is also involved in a steamy series of lawsuits....full of mystery, mistresses, extra-marital affairs, pornography, and computer hacking!!

University of Miami big time booster is a crook...and we're gonna find out a little more juicy stuff..
"Shapiro said he would use his insider knowledge of UM’s athletic program to write a “tell-all” book."

A lawsuit is being threatened to stop the players on the Turkish National team from getting huge bonuses for their Silver Medal performance at the World Championships that the US just won.
Each player was set to get 1 million Turkish lira directly from the government as bonus pay -- but now a Turkish lawyer is filing suit to stop such use of the taxpayers' money!

Lastly - and certainly not least --
A big time congratulations to prep star Remy Abell for selecting Bradley to play his college ball.
Also congrats to Bradley University, the athletic staff, Head coach Jim Les and assistants...
and also to all those who have so faithfully followed Bradley basketball, and contributed to Bradley basketball -- such that the fine new facilities could be built. No doubt the facilities that Bradley currently has are instrumental in battling against other schools for the services of top recruits...especially the schools that continually draw from public funds and taxpayer monies to recruit and build their athletic programs.

I find it dishonest and embarrassingly cheap of certain people who claim to be BU supporters (although their names do NOT appear anywhere in the exhaustive listing of supporters and contributors to Bradley University -- not even $10 worth of giving!!) to whine and cry about the incredibly beautiful new facilities that they didn't do a thing to help build. And there are even some who are losing all credibility by dissing on Bradley's newfound recruiting prowess that's bolstered by the new digs....and who fail to honor and recognize the efforts of all those who ARE responsible for bringing Bradley into the 21st century in regards to facilities and what it means to the visiting recruits.

Thankfully Bradley has the greatest bunch of alumni and supporters imaginable!
