Daily dose of cheating at the BCS level...and more

I have little doubt this wouldn't have happened at Bradley - since there's no way had the kid been going to Bradley he'd have ever been declared eligible. But the instant the kid was headed to Kentucky and John Calipari -- then everyone looks the other way -- clears the kid and lets him play. Now the kid is gone and in the NBA, and behold -- there's all kinds of questions as to how the kid could have ever gotten eligible..
This is deja vu as to what happened with Derrick Rose -- Calipari does this every year!!

Breaking news on Eric Bledsoe and his high school grades and transcripts...
....and it is NOT good ---
Now they are saying the records clearly show major discrepancies hinting someone hacked in and changed his grades to get him eligible....although it's too late to stop the kid from playing as he's already in the NBA.
But how many times does John Calipari get away with this...it's the same as the Derrick Rose scandal...
and if the NCAA is even the least bit consistent they need to declare Bledsoe ineligible and Kentucky has to forfeit and vacate all their 2009-2010 wins!

Eric Bledsoe is the kid who went to Kentucky and then jumped to the NBA but lots of people wondered how he could raise his GPA by such an enormous amount in just one semester..
There was once a time Bradley was recruiting Bledsoe - but his grades were so bad BU didn't even bother...

After his first 3 years in high school - his GPA was about 1.7, and he needed to get it up to 2.5 to be eligible...a virtually impossible task even if he got straight A's...and how likely is it a kid who is a career D+ student can ace every course for a year??
Suddenly - Bledsoe changes high schools and his grades are phenomenal and he's qualified!!
On top of that...the course that got him over the hump was an "A" in Algebra 3 - which Bledsoe took even before he ever took Algebra 2 (he took that later and aced it, too!)..
Bledsoe had previously NEVER gotten a grade above a "C" until suddenly getting all these suspicious "A"'s...
The ex-principal said it isn't even ALLOWED for a student to take those courses out of order!!!

Here's a few comments in case you don't want to read the article...
"..the final course grade recorded on the night-school grade report is
wrong. "You've got the wrong grade. There are two of those printout sheets.
I already talked to the (school) board attorney." He said he wouldn't
comment further and hung up."

"Birmingham school system officials have said they elected not to cooperate
with the NCAA"

Grade changing in the district isn't the only scandalous problem they have there....
Bledsoe's high school principal was fired amid more scandal, he apparently stole $17,000 from the school district.

Bledsoe also got an "A" in a biology course he had previously gotten a "D" in, but he took the course ONLINE from the BYU Character Education courses...which have since been banned.....these are the ones Missouri's Ricky Clemons got fraudulent "A"'s in.

You decide..but it is pretty clear some fishy stuff went on here -- and this kid and his "helpers" cheated to get him eligible...

Watch for the NCAA to clear Enes Kanter for Coach Cal -- even though he's been paid over $100,000 to play as a pro!!

Ronnie Wright has 'em fit!!!

Odd that the NCAA would let this kid have immediate eligibility...he had recurrent behavior issues, team suspensions, and was booted from the basketball team at UCLA, then goes to Baylor and the NCAA says he can play right away and doesn't have to sit out at all.
Baylor is going to be good -- they were a couple breaks away from being in the Final Four last year.

Can anyone explain the picture Osiris Eldridge is now using on his twitter page...?
Is this what's going on in the streets of Turkey??

Speaking of tweets, check this one out from Indiana head coach Tom Crean -- whose brother in law is head coach of the NFL Ravens...
His tweet probably means he went recruiting instead of going to the NFL game, but as it is written, it looks like he's saying he gave his sideline pass and access to a recruit - which would be an NCAA violation.
Regardless, he ought to be careful with his wording.....

I guess Chris Lowery is out recruiting also - although his brief tweet is pretty vague...

Creighton just picked up a verbal commitment from Nevin Johnson...
"Nevin Johnson, Class of 2011..
...2011 6-4 wing Nevin Johnson, Spring High School (Houston, TX)
......selected the Jays over Wichita State, Pepperdine, South Alabama, Bradley, Boston College, Stephen F. Austin, UTEP, Texas State, Hartford, Texas-Arlington, UNC-Greensboro, Northern Arizona and Long Island.

"My mamma always told me that when you go shopping, to always start at the back of the store first and then go to the front," Hicks said. "You go to the back to find that clearance rack of things that came out last year. Nevin is a suit on that rack but …he's a Versace suit on that rack! You put that on when you go out and then you've got everyone asking you where did you get that?! Now, everyone wants one of those after that. That's Nevin. He's a steal. "
The Jays now have two scholarship openings remaining for the 2011 class."

I find the comment about Nevin kinda insulting! This is a good kid and Bradley was following him (but had not offered)....to describe the kid like he's some kind of unknown, cheap bargain off the bargain basement clothes rack in the back of the store -- it a pretty low blow!!
Rivals lists the kid but he's UNRATED, scout.com does not even list the kid even though he's one of the better players in the Houston area.
