A few interesting news items...as we wait to see who ends up in which tourney

Among those named to the NCAA Division II All (Midwest) Regional Team...two ex-Illini commits appear!!
Jamar Smith is named to the 1st Team, but also David Palmer is on the 2nd Team..

How many recall that David Palmer initially committed to Illinois, then went the prep route before heading to Seton Hall, then Iowa, then Northern Kentucky!

A new premium article on the DePaul site, says the poor performance of SIU and the rumored turmoil does indeed seem to be having an effect, and DePaul insiders want to put Chris Lowery on the back burner and go harder after Brian Gregory, as well as a few other names coming up....Isiah Thomas, Tony Barbee, Butler's Brad Stevens, and Rod Strickland.

Because of some quality teams being booted early from their conference tourneys, several new possibilities for the NIT force contemplation that ISU might fall out of NIT-consideration....they may end up in the CBI or CIT...

For those who were at the Bradley game when the Zooperstars appeared at halftime...one of the costumed characters named mackerel Jordan ( a guy in a big fish suit) swallows another guy who pretends he's part of the coaching staff..

Well, this same Zooperstar character, Mackerel Jordan appeared on ESPN's SportsNation and swallowed the female host of the show, Michelle Beadle...

Here's a promo pic...
