Massive Mike

By now most have heard the tragic news that ex-Brave Mike Williams was shot several times and is in the hospital with serious wounds. The bad news is tempered by some good news that he is expected to recover.

Many will recall that Mike was with Cincy when Bradley played them in the all time record 7 OT game.
Then Massive Mike transferred to BU and helped BU to one of their best season performances in 1985-1986.
He is fondly remembered by all who knew him at BU.
Get well Mike.........and all of the Braves nation is pulling for you!

The Missouri Valley currently sits inside the top 10 conferences in RPI ranking (currently #9) despite some embarrassing losses and some really weak schedules in the Valley.
Four Valley teams have Top 100 RPI's - Bradley, Missouri State, UNI, and Indiana State.
Surprisingly the worst RPI in the Valley at this time is Creighton at 280.
A win this weekend over Nebraska will only help a little as Nebraska is not even inside the top 100 RPI.

Bradley's next two opponents are still currently BOTH inside the TOP 75 in RPI (Western Carolina & Loyola), although last night's Loyola loss to UW-GB is not yet factored in.

Between now and mid-January, BU will play six opponents currently inside the TOP 100 in RPI.
In that same interval, ISU only plays two such opponents, UNI only plays 3, SIU plays 3, MSU plays 3, and Creighton plays 3...so it appears that Bradley has the best shot among all MVC teams to boost their RPI and put themselves into a position that they could even qualify for an at-large bid come March.
Otherwise, with all the weak opponents, all it's gonna take is for MSU or UNI to get a couple losses, and their RPI's will drop out of range for any at-large consideration.
