Some notes on local kids

I have an inside source plus other reports that tells me Illinois has withdrawn its previous offer to Donivine Stewart, and that no other big school has given a solid offer.
West Virginia wants to keep watching Stew, and several other schools are in contact, including a certain local one that may actually be in the lead.
Grades could be an issue, but ability is not, and Donivine still has a couple years to prove himself and garner more offers.
He is presently going into his junior year at Limestone, and despite rumors about transfer, I have good evidence he won't leave Limestone, although you never know until....

A quote from Bill Cole in a Champaign News-Gazette article suggests Bill is going to try to re-invent himself in order to supply what the team needs and gain some playing time.
This past season, Illinois was outrebounded for the first time since the 1998-99 season.
The Illini coaches have sent this message:
"If you can rebound, you can play"

So Billy Cole says this...
"BILL COLE said. "I think I have to come out in the first couple of practices and prove that I can rebound."

Bill Cole is going into his junior season at Illinois, and in his first two seasons with the Illini, he has played in 29 games, totalling 55 pts (1.9 ppg) and 30 rebounds (1.0 rpg) to go along with totals of 6 assists, 9 blocks, and 5 steals.

Bobby Knight is trying to make lemonade out of lemons...in a way.
As you recall, the beginning of Knight's undoing was the release of the video showing Knight choking player Neil Reed during a practice. It was Knight's design to videotape every practice and save the tapes, and it ended up hurting him royally, but now he's using those tapes to cash in.
He has taken all those old practice videos and incorporated them into a series of instructional videos that are for sale. Reports are that they are selling well, maybe making Bobby have the last laugh!

This morning, for the first time in weeks, a new post has appeared on the Evansville message board, so just maybe it is cmoing back to life.
There is only one post on the entire site, but it appears it is about to "restart" after "repairing" some issues.
For the most part, the post isn't anything new. It is partly a repost dated August 2, 2009, of the very same post that was put on the site when it first started over six months ago, but added is a comment about this being the second "version".
